    My wife generally stays at Sonesta properties for work and I have always enjoyed the properties we've stayed at in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, New Jersey, etc., when I've tagged along. On a business trip of my own, and I elected to stay at the ES Suites Houston Galleria.The positives: Great location to Galleria Mall and other downtown locations; Parking; Most employees I dealt with were nice; Clean rooms; Provided an early check-in; Price was reasonableThe negatives: Overall, a tired-looking property; Internet was down the whole business day of my arrival; Breakfast wasn't super special; Without a business center, the front desk personnel was kind enough to print some documents for me, but their lengthy "business" email address was a Gmail account (not overly professional); Market offerings were very weak and limitedUntil the property gets a refresh, I won't be returning.

    This was one of the best hotel experiences that we've had. Check in was a breeze. The desk staff were friendly. The room more than exceeded expectations. Our room had a balcony which we enjoyed. The breakfast area was not overcrowded and had a lot of choices. The hotel was clean inside and out. It was close to the Water Wall. I wish we had been able to stay longer and use the wonderful kitchen. The free parking was appreciated.     No HOT water for a week!

    I was at the hotel for a week for business and it was the worst hotel I have stayed in a long time. I travel for a living and this is at the bottom of my list. There was NO hot water the ENTIRE stay. I was moved to another room because I was told there was an issued with the hot water heater at that side of the hotel. Only to be moved to the same situation. The representative that took care of the situation, was short with me, did not apologized and did not bother to help with anything. In the past when something like this has happened, the hotel staff has offered to help move my things and apologized, given me credits. The gentleman, Rey, did not bothered with any of it. The rest of the stay, everytime I walked by the front desk and he was there, he did not bothered to greet me. TERRIBLE customer service. Then, one of those days, the water was turned off for several hours. The doors to the rooms have big cracks and do not feel safe. I booked this trip with points and was stuck there! NEVER AGAIN!!     Clean rooms with lots of space

    Nice central location in Houston. The hotel was clean and had recently had new carpet installed. The room was big, the kitchen came fully stocked with anything you’d need to cook and it was all very clean. Parking was free and secure. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful with anything we needed. Breakfast was a good selection.     WORST hotel I have ever been to. Do not stay here… the smell was awful, pool not useable, corridors unpainted. Clothing form guest before left in the room so questioning if it was cleaned. The room did not smell very nice ,We lasted a hour before we left it was that bad.
