    I was at this same hotel about a week earlier in a much more comfortable room and gave perfect reviews in accordance, hence my choosing the same hotel for the 2nd time. This was possibly the worst unit in the entire hotel as the minute I opened the door, the foul stench hit me. I complained and was told it was the only available room. The next day I stayed mostly outside in the heat to prevent smelling the smell that lingered in the room. The carpet was so dirty and I had bumps on my body when I woke in the morning. I finally reached out to booking.com and they asked me to go ahead and check out and they’d fully refund me. That process has been a nightmare as every attempt to speak with the hotel manager has been unsuccessful.

    As a "member" I really wish Wyndham would guide us away from below standard properties like LaQuinta/Baymount San Angelo TX and Baymont Houston. When I reserve Wybdham properties I kind of expect a standard level of property presence. Like in San Angelo my room I Hoystin smells between a smokers lounge and a daycare center. As soon as I walked in used tissue on the floor, sticky remote control, ratty curtains, pain spill and stained carpet, pair hazed couch, bag over smoke alarm, chipped tub, pool is green. I know you expect ALL your properties to be at a standard but on just .y last 2 trips into Texas I have not felt these two properties ARE WYNDHAM STANDARD of lodging. I know I am her for "free" using my rewards from staying at WYBDHHAM properties but for the love of all things holy please think about the lodgers who select WYNDHAM for our families not to leave us in dumps hoping for the best when we arrive.     This is a difficult review to write because there are renovations happening that are hopefully addressing the many deficiencies of this property. This hotel is incredibly run down, located in a shady part of town, frequented by undesireables (thus the marijuana smokers and streetwalkers at the front door resulting in locked lobby bathrooms and no functioning ice or juice machines). The room barely passed for cleanliness (there was a long black hair on my pillow and I don't have black hair), and the couch was so stained I didn't dare sit on it. I wouldn't recommend walking on the carpet without socks or shoes. Shower had great pressure but was barely lukewarm. NO soap. (Bodywash isn't soap for after bathroom handwashing!!) Bodywash and shampoo/conditioner provided, but bottle was empty. Paper thin towels. Nice A/C. Took multiple calls and a visit to the desk to get replacement. Front desk person wasn't friendly. TV and mini fridge worked well. Swimming pool on site was full, but water was green with algae and brown. Free breakfast was waffle, white bread, fruit, sausage patties, hashbrowns, eggs and cereals, coffee (no creamer) and no juice. Laundry facility on site. A closet labelled "Business Center" on site. Very few snacks for sale. There is an IHOP that shares the parking lot. Right off the highway. Didn't feel safe or sanitary. Wouldn't recommend.     The beds was so soft and the pillows was like clouds laying down after a long road made it like cloud 9 and not wake up till next morning. and the staff was nice. It would 100% be 5 star but the pool wasn’t open. Other than that it was a great stay for a great getaway. Also gave us extra sheets for the Paul out bed. Stay on top with clean towels.     I went to this hotel to relax, my bathroom sink didn’t not work. There where kids running around in the walkways making their door slam. I went to the front desk to notice them of both problems and they told me there was going to move me and never did so I left a day early.
