Marla you are a credit to Shilo Inn and Suites
10 Jan 2026
It would appear that Shilo Inn in Idaho Falls is the chosen stopover enroute from High River Alberta to South of Bombay Beach. We were greeted with courtesy enjoyed a clean room and appeared next morning for breakfast. This was our second time at Shilo Inns and were greeted by Marla in the dining room. Of noted surprise she greeted my wife and I with" Merry Christmas, Sir, You are back for another bowl of porridge" What a memory and a gem of an employee who remembers my likes after a year had passed. Marla we will be back in January 2027 "Happy New Year"

Shilo Idaho Falls filthy, bugs, spiders, dirty. RUDE GENERAL MANAGER
11 Sept 2025
Booked 7 nights, but stayed only 1 as BED IN THE BED ON HUSBAND about midnight! The next morning I told the General Manager CURT (who didn't care) as he was tending the front desk that Alaska Vacations was charging for that night and 1 more and crediting the other 5 nights balance as only staying that 1 night. It was just to let the front desk know. He was blunt and rude and said, "DON'T TELL ME WHAT WE'RE GOING TO CHARGE." We went to a restaurant for breakfast and came back to load our belongings, but LICKED OUT OF OUR ROOM #241! Luckily, maid let us in. ALASKA VACATIONS was contacted who said this was totally UNACCEPTABLE and called their front desk...but, CURT THE GENERAL MANAGER would NOT answer the phone calls! And, he would NOT guve me a checkout paper acknowledging our charges. Again, ALASKA VACATIONS said unacceptable! We used our AK AIR VISA through AK Vacations for our room. BUT, SHILO CHARGED OUR Costco Visa $665.00 also !!! Another call to ALASKA Vacations who said they'd escalate and make sure that charge was reversed (which it was today 9.12). What a FIASCO! DO NOT STAY IN THIS FILTHY PLACE... SAD...NWVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I HAD SOMEONE BE SO RUDE, BLUNT, AND IGNORANT! I will let Shilo know as well. Totally disgusting!

Dilapidated dump

This hotel is a dump. Everything is broken and filthy and the staff seem dispirited (not surprising given this). The location is great but there are so many hotels in this area; choose another

Very Run Down!! Sub Par
18 Jul 2025
Think twice before booking at Shilo Inn- Idaho Falls. We stayed here about 6 years ago and were pleased with our stay. We thought we would stay here again since it was familiar. We could not believe how run down it was!!! There is no maintenance nor upkeep happening!! Our room itself was average ( minus the clogged toilet). We asked at the front desk what was going on with the hotel, and they seriously looked at us, as if to say, “What do mean?”. We elaborated on how run down things were, and they were confused!!The planters in the front of the hotel had FAKE flowers in them!! While out for a walk along the Riverwalk, we noticed a very nice looking, nicely kept Best Western Driftwood. We walked in, to check availability for our return trip and the rate was writhing $10 of Shilo. We booked there and cancelled Shilo. Best Western even provides beach cruisers for free to ride along the Riverwalk and has free breakfast with omelette bar and it is direct across the street from the Falls!!
