Good choice for staying in KC.

Nice hotel in a great location. One block walk to the streetcar stop and less than 1/2 mile to Union Station. There are 3 nice restaurants including Jack Stack BBQ a little over a quarte mile away. The room was clean although it could be noisy depending which way it faced. Breakfast was fine but late risers should know the hours are from to 6 to 9 AM. There is a fitness center and a small pool. The pool is more suitable for children than adults. There is a parking lot on the property. The lobby and check in are on the second floor. There is a convience store less than a block away for any items you may need for your room. There is a bar/ restaraunt opening across the street.

Rude and not worth the hassle

    rating31 May 2026

I TRIED calling to change the late check in time because Im traveling with an elderly person. It took over 45 mins. and a rude representative before I finally reached the hotel. I clearly encountered the rude person at the front desk everyone complains about. When I was explaining the difficulty in reaching them, he responded with "That's got nothing to do with me, but..." I cant wait for the nightmare that awaits. AVOID. I'm sure there will be a part two.

Terrible bed, do not stay here if>2 people or over 150 per night

    rating20 Apr 2026

I stayed here recently for a youth sports tournament. While the location is convenient for downtown access, there was a significant gap between the "event pricing" we paid and the actual guest experience. The RoomThe room had a noticeable odor upon check-in that didn’t quite dissipate. More importantly, if you are traveling with family and relying on the sofa bed, be aware: it was wildly uncomfortable. When I raised the issue with the front desk, the solution offered was a flat sheet for extra "cushioning," (see picture its laughable) which didn’t help. At a $320/night price point, I expected a higher standard of sleep quality.Service & StaffThe staff is communicative, they reached out via text during the stay to check in. However, some logistics were frustrating. During a severe hail storm, I tried to move my car to a covered area to avoid damage, only to find that hotel employees were occupying the protected spots, leaving guest vehicles exposed.Value for MoneyThis is where the experience fell short. Our tournament rate was $320 plus $60 for parking. Checking the rates for the following week, the room was listed at $142. While I understand surge pricing for events, the quality of the stay, from the room smell to the bedding, felt more aligned with the $140 price tag than the $320 we were charged.Management did eventually offer 20,000 points to make up for the issues, which I appreciate, but it didn't quite bridge the gap for the price-to-value disparity we experienced.Pros: Good locationCons: Sofa bed comfort, staff parking priority during weather events, significant price inflation for tournaments.

    Nice visit

Great location both Union Station and World War 1 museum are a short walk away. Free Railcar stops close to explore other areas. Never had a problem getting a Uber quickly. Breakfast has plenty of choices. Staff was friendly and helpful.

    Stay away from ice machine!

    rating30 Jul 2024

The good: Very comfortable bed/pillows. Spacious room. Good free breakfast. Great location. Great price. The bad: Really yucky shower with many rust areas and peeling, bubbly paint. The gross: Multiple black things in the ice. YUCK!!!!
