  Poor maintenance

  We have family in Kansas City and stay at Homewood Suites 2-3 times each year. It this had been our first time, we would never return. Our check-in was smooth, but we noticed that the lotion bottle was empty and went downstairs to the front desk. We were given a few small bottles, which was fine. Our toilet ran the entire night. This was never corrected. The next morning, I went to the gym and upon returning to my room, my key did not work; I went to the desk and it was corrected. But, the next day, the same thing happened again! My husband experienced his key not working and he did not go to the gym. We went to breakfast which had a wonderful selection of food, but no decaf coffee. We were told they did not make it anymore. We then left to spend the day with our family. Upon returning, we found a large bottle of lotion sitting on a desk- not attached to the bathroom wall. We were there for 3 days and no one replenished cups, coffee, towels, etc. We were told that rooms would be taken care of every two days; this did not happen.The front desk staff were very apologetic and said they did not have enough housekeeping staff nor a maintenance person. At our check-out, we found out that they did not have a general manager at this time.At a note; we are Diamond members and stay at Hilton properties often.

  They are clueless. Need some training

  Kitchen was nice but no oven. Beds were okay. We had a big family reunion and what a mess. They acted like they had never had a large group before. Messed up the rooms, that were pre- booked. Sent people to rooms that already had people in them. We were supposed to have a block of rooms, none of us were together, not even the same floor. Then when the bills came out, wow what a mess!!!! Billed more than the amount that was quoted. Billed some of us for extra rooms & some people for no rooms. And now they can’t seem to figure out how to fix it. Wasn’t a bad place to stay but don’t recommend because it was such a clustered mess getting the rooms & paying for them.

  Stay somewhere else!

  We will never stay here again.Pros: comfortable, clean bed and quiet AC/heat.Cons: Upon arrival, our bathroom sink was clogged with standing water and nasty. The shower had a broken shower gel bottle halfway hanging from the wall and pink mildew in every corner and all along the door track. Shampoo but not conditioner. The silverware in the kitchen drawer had food on it, so I decided to just put all the silverware/dishes from the cabinets into the dishwasher and wash them just to be safe. But the dishwasher had dirty dishes in it! No dishwasher tabs in sight and no dish soap anywhere. We borrowed some from our adjoining room but after the cycle was complete, everything in the top rack was covered in soap residue. The next morning we asked for the sink to be unclogged and dish soaps to be restocked while we were gone for the day. Upon arriving back at 5pm, neither had been done. We asked again for those to be taken care of in the next couple of hours. Five minutes later, a man who did not speak English knocked on our door with a toilet plunger! No....just no. So no one was able to fix anything that evening.The next day we put in our request once more and were told all would be done as well as the room refreshed. When we got back a the end of the day, sink was unclogged, but still no dish soap. No hand towels, no toilet paper, no tissues. The walls are so thin we heard every conversation next door, every phone ring, every hair dryer and every time that man blew his nose. And every night housekeeping ran the vacuum at 10pm in the hallway. Please....please run a better hotel. AND why in the world are you charging for parking??!! No security, no gate....what in the world are you charging for?! We will never, never stay here again.

  If you plan to stay at this hotel, you need to bring a suitcase of cleaning supplies. This place is the dirtiest hotel I have ever seen. It doesn’t appear that the carpets have been clean since they built it, there was dried poop on the office chair Along with questionable other stains on the arms of the sofa and sofa cushions. Every surface left a black Clorox wipe I would not recommend this place. The Hilton brand needs to reconsider who they allow to manage these properties.

  Hotel badly in need of a refresh

  Hotel badly needs an update. Carpet was filthy. Tiles falling off in bath. Drain clogged. Furniture beat up. On the plus side it was quiet and bed comfortable. Breakfast was very poor.
