    Nasty rooms, smell like urine and cigarettes

    I’m in town for a wedding. When I arrived at the hotel, it was not pleasant. The first room I was given smelled like urine. I asked for another room. The second room reeked of cigarettes. I was not in the hotel room for more than 5 minutes. The man at the front desk was nice and patient. I decided to leave so I basically paid to give this hotel a review because they refused to refund my money. I don’t think anyone should stay in a room that is unclean and smells so bad.     Overall Great Stay

    The Double Tree Flamingo East is very clean, modern, and has great staff. The lobby is large with ample space for hanging out and gathering with friends or family. We only ate at the on site restaurant once for breakfast, but the food was great and our waitress, Erika, was fantastic and attentive. As a diamond member we received a $15 per person F&B credit, which does not cover many of the breakfast entrees. Coffee in the lobby is $5 per cup. Overall great stay. Within walking distance to the strip if you want to hit your 10k steps per day. I would say the only suggestion I have would be to have a hot tub (it seems there was one at one time, but now has a fence around it) and provide free coffee in the lobby.
