Old hotel with a food court

    rating06 Jun 2026

There are many hotels on the Las Vegas strip. Some are at the higher end like the Waldorf and some are at the lower end like Flamingo. Harrah's is right there at the lower (and cheaper) end of the pack.Arriving and walking into the reception seemed OK - like many other Vegas hotels on the strip. When I got to my room, it was clear this is exactly what it is - an old, cheap Vegas hotel that needs to be better maintained. There was a lingering smoke smell in the room. You know, that "we're trying to cover up smoke with a scent that kind of makes you nauseous" smell. The decor was almost up to date, although they seemed to have overlooked the carpet, which seems to be from the 70s (see picture). The casino smell, again, was that classic "we're trying to cover up smoke, but doing a really bad job of it" smell. Other casinos (Venetian, Bellagio, etc.) don't smell this bad.The hotel restaurants are nothing but fast food - a real joke for a hotel on the strip. The hotel tried to leverage AI as a personal assistant. It doesn't work. When it does work, it takes 30 seconds to respond (that's years for a computer) and the information wasn't all that useful. In fact, it was dead wrong when I asked if the Caesar's Rewards water in my room was free. (BTW - It took the front desk 5 minutes to get me an answer to what seems like a pretty straight-forward question.)Of course, the location is great. It's on the strip right across from Caesar's shops, and it's connected to the relatively new Caesar's Forum convention center.I didn't pick this hotel, my company did. I certainly wouldn't pick it, as there are much nicer hotels on the strip which I am more than willing to pay a little more for.I'll finish with a statement I often make regarding hotel reviews - this is relative. Harrah's is a 5-star hotel compared to the Laquinta in Little Rock. However, ratings are relative to surrounding hotels. Because of the volume of nicer hotels in the immediate proximity, Harrah's rates low.

    Fun at Harrah's

    rating02 Jun 2026

Fun casino, so many slots to keep you busy. Table games are better at night when they are full and rowdy. Lots of places to eat with a variety of food choices and interests. Room are great, ask for a refrigerator if you want one. Staff are amazing and really help to make your experience great. People visiting were so nice, had a great time talking and hearing about their experiences. Random people dropped off tickets with small amounts, wished good luck and walked away. Started doing it myself. Walk around to the other Ceasar casino's. Pools are sometimes crowded and very loud.

This place is a total disaster. Let's start with the checkin. I had a paid confirmation reservation that the woman working the front desk who couldn't speak more than 15 words of English couldn't find but she could find that the place had no rooms like the ones I reserved which were 2. I said I had a reservation she said I can put you in a queen until tomorrow and we'll call you when your upgrade is available. I paid 600 dollars extra for this supposed upgrade. I never got any call that evening when I went to the front desk to ask the man acted dumb shrugged his shoulder and said the best I can do is 50 dollar food voucher. This place is a scam and will charge you for air along with a lot of hidden fees. Stsy somewhere newer and cleaner. Ryan Bennett, Owner at Harrah's Las Vegas, responded to this review We are concerned to hear about your reservation and room issues. Your experience falls short of our standards.
