    Poor Customer Service

    rating15 May 2026

May 16th at 9:45 AM I put a $20 Bill in a Game King Machine and it didn't register my payment. I hit the Red "Service" button and a Slot Technician who identified herself as JJ opened up the machine and retrieved the $20 Bill which was clearly stuck in the mechanics of the machine. She gave me back my $20 Bill and proceeded to lecture me, blaming me for their machines malfunction. I reported this event to the Slot Manager, Michelle Heffernan said " I will talk to my boss" and didn't even make an attempt to apologize to me for the poor customer service I experienced in the Southpoint Casino.I would not recommend that anyone gamble at this casino based on my recent unpleasant experience.Service1.0Noteworthy details: May 16th at 9:45 AM I put a $20 Bill in a Game King Machine and it didn't register my payment. Pleasantly surprised (read the whole review)

    rating12 May 2026

During a recent Vegas vacation to meet up with old friends, my wife and I decided to head up from Arizona a day early and booked an overnight at the South Point. One of the furthest casinos south on Las Vegas Boulevard (considered "off strip", we had very little idea what to expect. We were surprised and pleased. We will be back. The value here is exceptional. This lively resort casino features a luxurious pool, a showroom, two lounges, ten restaurants and bars (not including the ice cream shop and a Starbucks, but including a Johnny Rockets) and a fantastic buffet. It also has a horse ring, a movie theatre, full gym and spa, and a bowling alley. It even has airport shuttle service. And it features a Vegas rarity: coupon books in each room, with deals on drinks, shows, and more.Note: Check the hotel's website for a calendar of events. While we were there, a women's Western Regional Bowling Tournament was finishing up. The rooms are clean and spacious, with large walk-in showers, and very quiet. The hotel staff is very helpful. We needed and received extra towels and pillows. My wife and I had dinner at the hotel's Asian restaurant and sushi bar. It was fantastic. The service was wonderful and everything tasted great. We had breakfast the next morning at the Garden Buffet. Bloody Mary's were included with our breakfast! It was tremendous. The gaming floor at the South Point is huge, with a nice variety of slots and table games. There are even two sports books (one just horse racing) and a poker room. This resort has it all. We were so impressed that, as regular Vegas visitors, plans are in the works to compare a stay at South Point to places like the Red Rock and the M Resort. The ONLY bad experiences we had were during the booking process and when w first arrived. Booking through the hotel's website, was cumbersome. I never did receive an email confirmation of my stay, and when I called to inquire, it took several minutes for them to find my reservation. I also had to give them my credit card again over the phone, even though I had used it to book the room. However, everything was settled eventually. The other issue was the valet area. We arrived right at check-in time only to find the valet area a complete mess! People were parking their cars in the lines and simply heading into the casino. My wife pulled up curbside so I could get in line to check in, and we were briefly pinned to the curb and couldn't more. We eventually got free, and headed to self parking. Two last notes. First, the check-in procedure was fast and efficient. Second, self parking is a long way from the hotel elevators. Pack light, or prepare for a long journey through the casino to get to your room. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay, however, and will definitely be back.

    Top Class

    rating09 May 2026

Visited to see West USA Rodeo Regional event. Rodeo venue was co-located with the casino and about 4 miles from the central Vegas scene. Every aspect of the hotel/casino met our high expectations. The staff were really helpful. There was a free shuttle from the airport to the casino/hotel. Our room was spacious and room service was timely and thorough. The restaurant choices were extensive. Supermarkets were nearby alongside a great pub and other restaurants if the noise of the busy casino became tiresome. A great 4 day stay. We have stayed at most of the major central Las Vegas strip hotels and this hotel matched most of the more famous locations.

    Great first time visit.

We have stayed on the strip at various properties in upper mid price range for over 30 years. We heard the Strip has gotten to be a ripoff and decided to stay off strip for the first time after a few years absence. Great decision! This is a great place with fantastic staff, endless food options, nice big rooms, winnable slots & low min tables and overall value! Quiet rooms, large but walkable property if you are a bit older. It’s a winner!
