Old school courtyard. Mid at best.

Location is convenient. Atmosphere is courtyard circa 1985. Rooms ditto above. Carpet everywhere. Shower curtain moldy and smelly. It’s as clean as a very old and tired room can be. No way this is modern or 4.1 stars as other rating suggest. - $10 parking charge per day levied even if you do not have a car. They take it off if you complain, but many guests probably do not catch it on their receipt. Front desk staff trip over themselves trying to justify the practice.- They did not clean our room between nights despite no Do Not Disturb sign on the door after 930am- Beds had long hairs on the sheets upon check-in. We are not sure if they changed the sheets between guests.Reviews from 7-9 years ago are steering guests incorrectly. There has not been a pool since before 2020. And this parking charge [despite it being suburbia] is seemingly new.The water pressure is also poor.There are several other mid tier properties nearby. We'll try those next time. Great location close to Red Bank. Easy parking, close to lots of food and shopping and excellent Uber Eats delivery! Comfy quiet room and very clean. Well managed and polite staff. Cannot always get a reservation so book well ahead!

Decent Courtyard by Marriott in a Great Location

This is a solid Courtyard by Marriott right off the Garden State Parkway and very close to the cute down towns of Red Bank, Fair Haven and Rumson, as well as the beach. The good parts about the hotel were the lobby area (clean and inviting with lots of seating), the staff (friendly check in, helped out with freezing some ice packs) and great parking. The room was also fine, but pretty tired and definitely in need of a refresh. It was also pretty small. But for a 3 night stay to attend a wedding (and they clearly host a lot of wedding blocks here - there were 5 weddings staying here over the 3 days we stayed), it is just fine. My one other complaint was that they did not have free coffee in the morning, though you could get Starbucks (and bistro food and drinks), but it didn't open until 7am.

Great Courtyard location. We use this hotel a couple of times a year when visiting family who lives in the neighborhood. It's so easy to get to right off the Garden State Parkway. Short drive to Red Bank for restaurants. Clean, friendly. During this visit we had breakfast at the cafe both days which was convenient. The bagels were good and drinks were good but the oatmeal was super watery - I would suggest they make it the night before so it can fully cook. Or have the overnight person put it on around 4am so it's ready for guests when the cafe opens. Overall a great and comfortable stay and will return next time we're visiting family.
