Not worth the price.Service is mediocre at best.It's a real shame as they have a beautiful property. They can do better.

Not a resort for the older generation…

There were 3 things I was not told when I booked this hotel, which btw, was non refundable (my suggestion to anyone who books is the pay the extra fee so you can get out of the reservation, or cancel if the weather is bad). The first disappointment was that the movies offered on the tv were not set up to be ordered yet…luckily, after some time of figuring it out with our children involved, we were able to stream Netflix from our phone. Next, I was told the hotel offered valet parking when I called to ask…I was not told how expensive a shot I would take. This hotel gouges where it can. A very expensive per night room charge of should include parking. Side note: it took me 5 times calling to reach the Spa to make an appointment. I then decided I would not give this hotel one more dime of my money, so I chose not to book at the spa. Lastly, a note was placed on our door the day of checkout (thank God we were checking out) that painters needed to access the rooms on our floor during the day. If we had been staying another day, I would have been SO angry. The hotel is run by children with no respect for elders, and what felt like distain for anyone over 30 who dared to seek accommodation. A complete disappointment, and there is zero chance I would ever waste my money here again.

Amazing weekend stay. Hotel is beautiful and immaculate. Staff is friendly and Shabbat dinner at Soya was incredible.

Sleek and chic, with awesome ocean views

There are two hotels in Long Branch with rooms facing the ocean and the Wave Resort is the newer, sleek and chic modern one. Very inviting large lobby, with comfortable sofas and chairs. Rooms are immaculate , with a comfy bed and a large bathroom in the suites. Megan at front desk was superb and made our stay special - very knowledgeable, professional and friendly with definitely a can- do attitude - kudos to Megan who was as enthusiastic as we were about making our stay wonderful ; she went above and beyond. As is to be expected, no hotel of this quality will ever be a bargain , even out of season, so it’s not a place to stay if you are on a very limited budget. Valet parking adds another uptick to the price . It’s ocean front and very sleek , with an industrial style vibe to it. It has a spa, a bar, a restaurant as well as a bagel place right on the premises . (A stone’s throw away Is a high- end kosher steakhouse called Salt, and next to that is a kosher take- out place). The large suites have a wrap around balcony with direct ocean views. Plentiful eateries in Pier Village from pricey to very affordable , like a Turning Point franchise ( terrific and very popular for breakfast or lunch) as well as a 7-11 convenience store, and apparel shops as well as a bookstore, a Starbucks —and more. Never stayed here in the summer when rates are even higher; probably difficult to get reservations unless you book way in advance . If you love the calm and tranquility of being at the ocean, off- season is the best time to go.. Always lots to see and do even off- season, including theatre productions at New Jersey Repertory. Long Branch is a very special place at the Jersey shore, as is this hotel.We would definitely stay here again! A suggestion to the management so the review can go from 4 stars to 5: always be sure that the front desk is manned. — when it wasn’t one evening, no one answered the front desk phone for over 30 minutes.
