    Stay away bed bugs

    rating30 Apr 2026

This is the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. The first night out of nine nights we all were woken up by the pungent smell of pot/weed. It was like someone was outside our window smoking. Then our AC unit broke. The faucets leaked out of the handles. The second night as we were going to sleep, our daughter had a bed bug crawl right next to her. It was disgusting! We immediately went to the front desk and they assigned us a new room. Luckily my husband is knowledgeable in the bed bug extinction process and demanded all of our clothes be dried on high heat immediately. They needed to do two loads and complained that the night staff didn’t know how to use the dryer and it was the end of their shift and they needed to go home. He insisted someone run the loads. The moment we walked into the second room it reeked of a mixture of cigarette smoke and mold. They sprayed an air freshener in hopes it would disparate. The next morning we complained to the General Manager about the bed bug incident and the pungent odor. He was absolutely dismissive to our complaints, saying bed bugs just happen every two years. He spoke down to us and was very arrogant. To be honest he should not have any job in customer service. He offered us a $100 discount which didn’t even cover one night stay. In the drying process one of our daughter’s shirt was damaged and he offered us a $30 credit, which won’t cover the price of replacing the shirt. He offered no solution to the odor. The front desk worker suggested they have maintenance clean the AC unit while we were out. Not sure that happened as the odor never went away. We had to go out and purchase odor eliminators ourselves which did nothing. The smell never went away and was nauseating. The sink in that bathroom leaked out of the handles so bad that we had to keep a large towel wrapped around the handles to soak up the water. The tub was warped, there was a water stain on the ceiling and the toilet ran constantly. We contacted two people at the corporate office on the third day and have never heard from them. Will never patronize an Ayres hotel again.

    Good stay

    rating23 Jul 2025

We enjoyed our stay. Our first room had a weird smell. We went to the front desk and they happily changed our room. The gal was awesome! The room was a good size. It was neat and clean. The room just had a refrigerator, no microwave. It had a coffee maker also. The breakfast was very good. Scrambled eggs, sausage, and potatoes. Also, french toast, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit and pastries and bread for toast. We would definitely stay again. Actually, it's the second time we've stayed here. Great hot tub and pool. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. Plus , Walmart and a Costco near by.

    Bad customer service

    rating15 May 2025

I stayed at Ayres Hotel in Corona for a business trip and had a very disappointing experience. Lynn at the front desk was rude and unhelpful both at check-in and during a later interaction. She made me feel like I was bothering her by simply asking a question, even though the lobby was empty. My room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned—there was a stained towel with a long hair in it, which made me question the overall cleanliness. To top it off, I drank from the $4 water bottle provided in the room, and it tasted like tap water—possibly even refilled. When I brought this to Lynn’s attention, she still insisted on charging me. I asked to speak with the manager. After hiding in the back, Scott Smith finally came out and showed zero care or professionalism. He rudely told me I had to pay for the water since I drank from it, ignoring the fact that it may have been tampered with.We had two rooms and spent over $600 for just two nights. I travel often to Riverside/Corona and had hoped this would be a reliable hotel, but after this experience, I’ll never stay here again. Ayres has lost consistent business over $4—and I’ll be sure to share this experience with others.

We would be very happy to return to this property

    rating20 Jan 2025

ladeschaine We made a booking with Wendy as well as being helped by her when we checked in. She was very professional and friendly. What an asset to your team!Appreciated the cleanliness of the property and also that there was a meeting room next-door hosting a church service, which was wonderful to worship there before driving home to Nevada. The only problem I had there was the pillows were really awful. They were flat and cheap when I inquired about feather pillows, which is what we usually do when we stay at Springhill or other Marriott properties. They were unable to accommodate us sadly, however they very quickly in a timely manner provided an extra blanket. They offer fresh iced water in the lobby area which is also a clean, comfortable and welcoming area to sit and relax in.

Shine On Ayres Hotel, Corona-Riverside, exceptionally managed in every detail! 10/10

    rating03 Dec 2024

Our family all enjoyed a great stay on 11/27, 28, 29, 30/24-Thanksgiving Weekend! The beautiful hotel was decorated for the holidays and the staff were all amazing, cheerful, courteous, and professionally helpful. Our wonderfully comfortable, crisp clean double queen suites were immaculate and beautiful, everything you could need was provided with quality. The breakfasts were top quality with fresh, delicious variety, everything was clean and presented beautifully along with great smiles from the serving staff. We all felt like spoiled family guests. The location was perfect for the freeways and shopping but quiet. The parking was great, clean, well-lit, and safe. This location was well-managed and it showed in every detail! Thank you, we are looking forward to a return visit soon! Shine on Ayres Hotel, North Corona-Riverside. CA. Joyce & Happy Family
