    My wife and I stayed here as our base to explore LA. The location made it cheaper than staying more central, but also allowed us to explore places in the valley while being easy to access the highways. The hotel itself was well maintained and the staff were helpful and friendly. The room and bed comfortable with our only complaint being that the carpet wasn’t particularly clean and we’d get dirty feet if we walked around barefoot. The noise from the road was noticable but bearable and not particularly bothersome. The onsite Denny’s was also useful for a quick breakfast or meal at any time of day. Overall it was a good value stay in a good, accessible location.

    I was very surprised by how large this hotel was. When we first arrived, I noticed a security guard on the property, which was reassuring. However, later in the evening, I no longer saw any security presence. I also noticed several people sitting in their cars late at night, which felt unusual and made me somewhat uncomfortable.There were a few maintenance issues during my stay. The ice machine on my floor was out of service, and the air conditioning did not get as cold as expected. On the positive side, the TV was updated and included apps such as Netflix and YouTube, which was convenient.There is a Denny's located next door, and the hotel apparently offers shuttle service to Universal Studios. Be sure to arrange the shuttle at least 24 hours in advance if you plan to use it. I also believe breakfast is available for an additional fee. Keep in mind that the hotel charges for parking as well.One convenience was that a Target is located just a couple of blocks away. I was not at this hotel long enough to give it a solid 10, but this might be a place I would try again. Also, from the signs and places, I am assuming this is also a dog friendly hotel. They have a good size small fridge, they also have a little safe in the closet.

    We’ve have stayed here before and been very satisfied. This time the customer service was a bit of a miss. I checked in as Platinum member, which was not acknowledged and I didn’t receive my welcome gift. I did find this interesting since the person checking in next to me with another front desk member was acknowledged for their membership and received welcome gift. The check in person was robotic. The room was very clean with everything in working order. On our second night the room next to us was playing music very loud after 10pm and smoking marijuana. Unfortunately, we had an adjoining room door which allow the smoke to come into our room and probably made it easier for the loud music to also come into our room. I did call the front desk and tell them what was going on and they said they would call the room. The music was turned down almost immediately, but I have no idea if they were still smoking marijuana because I put a damp shower towel across the bottom of the door to prevent the smoke from coming in. The response from the night front desk staff just appeared so casual with no follow up and no concern for the situation. The front desk person I checked out with in the morning was much more understanding and apologetic, and he did take off the parking fees for the inconvenience we experienced which I appreciated. It’s a short drive to Universal Studios, but much more affordable than hotels closer to Universal, which is why we chose it. No free breakfast because there’s an on-site Denny’s, but we didn’t elect to eat there. The grounds and facilities are well-maintained.

    Best Western carriage Inn is one of the best places to stay,despite its location.The place has alot of wonderful landscapes and is well kept.The rooms are very clean like those of high class 5 star hotels. I would recommend it to others.Its also Pet friendly especially for dogs.
