    I had a horrible experience staying at Comfort Inn & Suites Huntington Beach. I was traveling with my two kids (11 and 5 years old), and this stay was extremely disappointing from start to finish.We experienced continuous issues in the room: • WiFi barely worked • TV kept turning off on its own • The AC was broken and making a loud, unbearable noise • The room was not clean—there were visible stains on pillowcases and sheets, which is completely unacceptableThe worst part happened on our last day. When we returned from breakfast, we found water leaking from the ceiling directly onto our table, where my iPad was plugged in and charging. This could have caused serious damage and was a major safety concern.At checkout, I reported everything to the front desk employee, Ricky. Unfortunately, he showed zero willingness to help. He said the manager (Mike) was not available and that there was nothing he could do. When I asked for a printed invoice, he refused, saying the printer “was not working.”I called the hotel again later to speak with a manager, but the same employee told me the manager was still unavailable. I then asked to have my invoice emailed, and he refused again.This level of customer service is unacceptable—no accountability, no assistance, and no basic professionalism.If you are planning to stay with your family, especially with kids, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. I will be escalating this issue to corporate.0-star experience. Do not recommend.

    We had to pay for our room in advance. We came to help an elderly friend who needed care for a week. Decisions were made that eliminated our need to be in California so we looked to leave a day early after staying four nights. The hotel refused to refund one nights cost.

    DON'T stay at this place. Extremely rude people work here! We had to cancel our reservation because we all had COVID. Mary or Marie was supposed to get back to me. She never did. She was actually there when I called and could have stopped my payments from going through. Instead, she waited for me to call her back 4 days later. RUDE! Then she told me basically that I was lying. I offered to send her a copy of our ER bill and recent COVID tests. She ignored me. She refused to refund us our money. She lied about being higher up than then General Manager, Mike. She lied about owning that hotel. She doesn't. She was RUDE AND A LIAR. We will get our money refunded and Mary/Marie and maybe Mike deserve to both be fired.

    Stayed for a work trip and had the great fortune of having Ashley serve myself and my team at the bar In the hotel. She was a fast and efficient bartender for us and always made the drinks I requested perfectly. I'll absolutely stay here again next time I swing through the area

    Where to begin. Let me say this was last minute because of an event and an early arrival the next day. This entire experience has been pretty horrendous. Do NOT stay here. I’m a Choice Platinum member and this is by far one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Overall the hotel is run down and needs to be refurbished. The gentleman at the front desk was probably the must unhelpful person I’ve encountered in a long time. Cleanliness and repair The bathroom was small and in need of repair with faucet handles that didn’t function well to a shower head that had various settings that all produced a literal drip of water except the one where a single strand of water came out with unnecessary force. But it was such a narrow stream that nothing gets wet and you have to move around to get that one strand on part of your body. The pull out couch had multiple stains of unknown origin but it’s not something you want to sit on or lay on. The pull out itself had a mattress that felt like you were laying on the springs themselves. So bad we had to close it and utilize the aforementioned couch. We took the sheet from the mattress and used it to cover the coach but couldn’t use the blanket because of random hairs and that you can see with the naked eye so the cleaning crew probably should have.Surroundings and securityNever a fan of hotels with separate doors exposed to the outside but alas it was just for one night. Welp that was a mistake. They put us on the 1st floor where the parking lot is. I asked to move off of the 1st but the room we needed for my family of 4 was only available on that floor. Ok fine but from 10pm til 3am there were loud voices on both sides of us and in the parking lot. While the hotel can’t initially stop noise they can control it and they made no effort to do so. I didn’t realize that in an area that’s pretty affluent there had to be such security measures such as locking the front door with no way to get back in unless you knock on the door. Not a keycard entry but literally knock on the door. What’s even worse is the corridor to the room is also locked and this is where I was ready to lose my sh#%. The corridor is the only way to get out of the hotel as it leads to the main lobby. There is no keycard exit it has to be manually unlocked by the unhelpful front desk person. This should be illegal and at worse it’s a fire code violation. Don’t EVER stay here . I will be reaching out to their corporate offices and the fire commissioner. If this place is so crime ridden that incarcerating your guests is necessary then it might be time to close the doors. All for the low low price of $309 a night. Absolutely ridiculous!
