    Friendly front desk

    Stayed one night. Front desk was friendly when we checked in. Hotel seemed a little dated and could need a renovation. There is a musty smell through the hallways and in the room. The room had ample room with king bed and sofa. A little balcony with sitting had a view of the pool area. Room was clean, but as I mentioned above about being dated and musty smell lingered. The only thing was the smoke sector went off at 5am and of course that woke us up. Alerted the front desk and they had to replace the battery. FYI hotel is located around business district with no restaurants nor shopping within walking distance.

    Wonderful stay! First the front desk and service was wonderful - such nice people and accommodating! Also the bed was so comfy, parking easy, room very clean. Finally the area of this hotel is like in an industrial/business area and always felt very safe! Great stay!

    Nice business class hotel. Well maintained. Friendly staff. Cool lobby. Pool is old school and pretty. Workout room is well appointed. Hop, skip, and jump from John Wayne Airport. Not a walking around area. No restaurants within walking distance. But there are 3 pot shops.

    I’ve been a Marriott Bonvoy member for nearly a decade and have never experienced anything as disappointing as this.We were staying at Courtyard Costa Mesa South Coast Metro and had just returned from a stressful day in the ER with our toddler. Upon arrival, only one bed in our room had been made, the rest was untouched, and our prior requests for basic items like trash bags had gone unfulfilled.The front desk provided no real explanation. The assistant manager later attempted to explain a "3-day deep cleaning policy," though he couldn't confirm if that included making the beds—something we've received daily at other Marriott properties.He later offered 5,000 Bonvoy points, which I appreciate, but it doesn't come close to addressing the stress and disruption we experienced.What’s worse is that even by 6:00 PM the next day, our beds were still unmade. Strangely, my husband returned to the room in the morning and found housekeeping staff inside, interacting with our room phone. They said nothing, did not clean the room, and left without explanation.This is not the level of care or professionalism I’ve come to expect from Marriott. I've since escalated the matter to corporate and hope they take the appropriate action to prevent this from happening to other guests—especially families with children in vulnerable situations.     A Comfortable Stay, Could be 5*

    I booked the hotel at short notice for a 5 night stay. Easy parking ($15 per day ...) and warm welcome. First room allocated was on 2nd floor and tucked away. I looked out onto rooms with little balconies facing the sunset, so requested one. Initially rejected (nothing available) until I suggested I booked one 😉 - then was given a great room on the 3rd floor. Perfect room with perfect location but I shouldn't have to jump through hoops (room was same type, just better location). Bistro is good for light meals, never busy. Had booked breakfast but this is regulated as one hot dish or two cold dishes plus a beverage from the Bistro. The beverage is limited to the three coffee pumps - free in many hotels. Each day had to sign the check for breakfast. For one day it appeared on my bill and was removed. Three days it didn't appear. And the last day it was charged! I was unhappy about this as I had calculated my total and indicated at check out that the total being charged was too much - the clerk was friendly but didn't bother to check and correct, so I'm now waiting for customer service to respond. And those two things cost a star. Pool is very pleasant - heated but not too warm, large enough to relax. Seating area outside with fire is very pleasant. I'd stay again - it was comfortable and everyone was friendly. And working with the balcony door open and the sun settings was great.
