    Very nice and quiet place to stay. Comfortable beds and nobody bothers you. Front desk was very helpful and friendly. I recommend this motel.     Lack of understanding of ADA for Service Animals

    I recently stayed at Days Inn by Wyndham in West Covina and had a disappointing check-in experience. The manager, Sam Dayal, told me that my psychiatric service dog needed to have “permanence of presence” with me in order to be considered a legitimate service animal. This is simply not true under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Service animals are defined by the tasks they perform for a person with a disability—not by whether they are physically present every second.At the time, my service dog was safely in the car with my partner, close by and ready to assist if needed. Still, I was made to feel anxious and unwelcome, which triggered an emotional response—ironically, the kind of moment my service dog is trained to help prevent. While I was ultimately allowed to stay, the staff's lack of understanding around ADA protections made for an uncomfortable and unsettling experience.I hope management takes this seriously and provides staff with proper ADA training to ensure future guests are treated with greater respect and dignity.     Inhuman treatment post Eaton Fire Evacuation

    Heartless staff. My wife, dog and I were emergency evacuated from our home due to the Eaton Fire.We online booked here for night 2 of evacuation and called right after to make sure the room was dog-friendly, and to see if we could get in early because we have nowhere to go with all our valuables in the car and a dog. After a 15-minute hold and us having to call back, they said they could accommodate both, but had to change the room-type. All fine and we were relieved we had a room. When we showed up, the customer in front of us checked in early but the woman at the desk would not even look up my reservation even though I assured her I'd spoken to someone earlier and secured an early check in. I was told that they just gave away our early room to the person in line in front of us (why?) and we needed to come back after 3:00 - which is obviously a problem for us right now, but they didn't care. She wouldn't even make eye contact and sent me away. Then when we returned around 4 (found a spot to eat with a view of our car) and the new person on shift said we did not have a dog friendly room reserved, even though I'd been assured earlier they had changed us to a dog friendly room. We literally had nowhere to go because of the fire evacuations, we legitimately booked a room with them, confirmed the reservation, and they just decided not to help us or treat us like human beings in a crisis. To make it worse, our car needed to get jumped after we had been denied entry and they wouldn't let us use their bathroom while we waited for AAA.Avoid staying here if you can - or just book a room in one of your most desperate times and the manager will make sure you can't stay there, just end up in your car that night with all your evacuated belongings.Additionally, I filed a complaint with corporate after both incidents and I eventually received a reply advising me that the best resolution would be achieved by direct communication between the property management and myself. Not helpful.A complete lack of empathy and humanity in how we were treated during a crisis.     This was a typical Days Inn that looks good outside, but could use some renovation. Also, our room faced the freeway and there seemed to be motorcycle racing until about 1 AM. The breakfast offering did not offer nay good proteins, eggs were pre-made little blobs and no meat.     Staff not friendly - room was filthy

    Staff was not friendly nor helpful. First, they didn’t allow my husband to check in because I used Wyndham points to book instead of cash. Second, they gave my King bed room (that I needed) and switched it to a 2 bed room when I had clearly booked a King (more than likely because I didn’t pay cash). Lastly, floors were disgusting. My toddler walked around in the morning while I was getting ready for no more than 45mins- 1 hour. Her white socks were BLACK at the bottom. Had to throw them away.
