    Great location, but noisy

    rating15 May 2026

Very cute, nicely located by the beach. The location comes with problems, however. You definitely want to sleep with the windows open for the sound of the waves and the ocean breeze, but that comes with everyone leaving the bars and shrieking at the top of their lungs. It is next to the municipal beach and parking lot. We got very little sleep. I don’t think an inn should be there. The room itself only had one nightstand, which was a major annoyance. Also, you had to go up two wooden stairs to get to the bathroom. There was no tub, just a very big walk-in shower. The staff, especially José, were kind and helpful. I definitely would not stay here again.

Prime Location, Terrible place to sleep

    rating10 Feb 2025

We booked a 2 night stay at the Doryman's In. and it was the worst night sleep of all the hotels I've stayed in. According to Expedia, I spent 34 nights in hotels in 2024 with their year end summary. I know my hotels. The Doryman's Inn is very charming and the location is excellent, until I realized that being with inches from a huge parking lot would keep me up all night. From drifters, tailgating in the parking lot at 1:45am, to motorcyclists peeling out and revving for attention, to partyers smoking up right below the thin windows in Room 5 (ocean view prices with parking lot vibes), to a maintenance worker banging around at 8am, I will not be returning and highly recommend you look elsewhere, too. Did I mention that the power went out, our room was cold due to the cracked skylight window bringing in a draft-- to non-operating elevators for over 24 hours? The "breakfast" isn't even work mentioning. The coffee was so lukewarm and watered down that I just poured it down the sink. Not worth it. Just keep scrolling. Oh well. No management to offer any apologies or updates to limited power, meanwhile there is a high end restaurant downstairs with no complimentary canapés for the inconveniences. Thoroughly disappointed.

Lost some of its shine this time

    rating05 May 2024

This was our second visit to Dorymans and some of the shine wore off. The prices were high for pre-summer and a relatively empty hotel. Like 300-450 a night. But our biggest issue was sleep quality. From about 3-5am we were kept awake by folks in the parking lot below rummaging through trash, cans and bottles. Tough one to solve but at a hotel, you’re basically paying for sleep so…. Other than that, oodles of character, pretty friendly at the front, and location cannot be beat!

    Cute B & B on the beach

    rating08 Feb 2024

super cute B&B, the room was comfortable, gas fireplace, luggage rack, closet & and dresser to put your things. Also a desk and chair to work. Be aware this area is loud at night when you're trying to sleep. Beautiful view of the beach. Walkable area for good food, coffee and the pier. Also a few shops to buy souvenirs. The front desk is through locked doors and upstairs. Roof top deck to watch the sunset was very nice. Hotel parking is about a block away from the hotel through an alley way. Breakfast included, coffee, milk, orange juice, muffins, fruit, cereal, oatmeal.
