    Booked well in advance, asked for a certain high end "mountain view" room, but was given one down the hall that had the parking lot light shining in all the windows all night. That on top of a broken black out window shade and a broken window locking lever. That said, excellent breakfast buffet and otherwise comfortable room.

    A probably once glamourous but now struggling property

    In its day, this was probably a nice place to stay. It does kind of have an “old LA” vibe and in their defense, they do try. I’m top tier Hilton, so I get around and have known a few Hilton brand properties in my days. My room looks to have been refurbished since the black-and-white movie days of LA. However, to get the security deadbolt to lock, you had to lift the door. They had this “buffet” for $30 which was the same as the breakfast other properties give you (i.e. cereal, powder eggs, etc.). The carpet is worn and the place could use a scrub. I guess the warning sign should have been my CC notification that the deposit was 1.5 times the total charges. That alone should have told the story. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again but hey, it is your choice.

    Disappointing Stay for a Hilton Property

    We stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Chatsworth from February 13–15, 2026 while visiting our son in college, and unfortunately the experience did not meet the Hilton standards we are accustomed to as Diamond members.Our original room had a strong fish odor and required escalation to Hilton Guest Services before we were moved. This situation could have been handled at the property level, but staff did not follow Hilton guest-service policies when addressing the issue.The replacement room had cleanliness and maintenance concerns, and we noticed marijuana smoke odors from nearby rooms.On the night of February 14, music and bass vibration from the room above us continued until after 2:30 AM despite multiple calls to the front desk, resulting in loss of sleep. We never received follow-up from management after these issues.This property did not reflect the level of comfort, service, or professionalism we typically experience at Hilton hotels. Very disappointing stay.

    I called Alex at the front desk @ Doubletree Chatsworth to ask a pertinent question to determine whether I would extend my stay there. He said "WHY are you asking all these questions? I'm not answering all these questions! It's very suspicious! We're a business, we're not here to help people!"UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Not a cool way to treat a senior woman!!

    The hotel is a hidden gem. However, the highlight of the stay was Darren the Top Tier Bartender. He was a 100000/10. I will be back just becuase of his hospitality.
