  Stayed at Extended Stay by John Wayne Airport (SNA) in September with my family for 2 nights. The hallway smelled of weed, the rooms were nasty. When I turned on the shower brown water sprayed out for almost 3 minutes like the shower had a severe case of diarrhea. It was absolutely disgusting. I had to let the water run for 20 minutes to even feel like taking a shower with the one small bar of soap the motel provided. I will never stay here again.   Such a great hotel, recently remodeled, convenient location, and quiet at night. Kudos to manager Jay, and excellent front desk help with Mel, Alex, and Jasmine, who are always polite, professional, and helpful.

  Mel at the front desk was awesome. Had a pleasant stay. Wanted to extend, but no availability.Rebuilding parts of condo because insurance covered peril. Been hotel/motel hopping for past few months. Would stay again. Would recommend to others.   This has to be the most disgusting hotel I have ever been to. We were on a high school trip and on a budget. There was trash all over the stairwell (B) and the 3rd floor hallway reeked of animal urine. It was repulsive. I am going to contact the health department for such poor conditions. Breakfast was advertised but was a joke with bars, muffins and instant oatmeal. I did give it 2 stars for location and staff was nice. Also, our room seemed fairly clean aside from the breakfast bar wedged inside the AC unit. Never, ever again.   Staff was really great. They are very helpful and do their best to accommodate the guests needs. The management staff has done an excellent job training the staff members. The rooms are clean and well maintained. I always know that my stay is going to be great here.
