This hostel/youth hostel is located in the heart of Los Angeles.

Facility

The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A baggage storage service and a safe are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hostel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Other services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe and a desk or, for an additional fee, a minibar are also available. For guests' convenience, units include a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone, a TV, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and include a hairdryer. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hostel has family rooms, non-smoking rooms and smoking rooms.

Sport

The indoor and outdoor pools are ideal for exercise as well as relaxation. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. Refreshing drinks are served at the poolside snack bar. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the hostel, including a gym and yoga. Leisure facilities include live music, a dance club and a nightclub.

Meals

Dining facilities include a non-smoking restaurant, a dining room, a café and a bar. A continental breakfast, lunch and dinner tempt guests with a wide range of dishes (lunch and dinner à la carte).

    Still waiting for my deposit. Emails and messages fully ignored. Take customers for granted and don't care about the post-stay.

    We enjoyed staying here for our holiday in LA. The hotel has a beautiful pool and bar on the rooftop. The location is great and easy walking to a local metro station. The hotel is clean, rooms are cleaned daily, has a hair dryer and iron available with AC in the room. The rooms are also very spacious with large beds. There is no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but a coffee shop downstairs. The staff are great and very friendly.Parking charges are a bit steep but they take good care of your car there are also some car parks local that do not charge as much, also the bar prices are a bit steep in my opinion.     Wonderful LA stay

    Not having heard of Freehand before, I wasn't sure of what to expect but I was intrigued. For myself, the pricing was perfect as well as the location. I was only in town for 48 hours and it was within walking distance of a Metro station and the Crypto.com arena and anywhere else I wanted to explore. The rooftop bar and the views are wonderful. The view from my room on the 10th floor was as well. The hotel vibe and decor was nice and my room was very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay for my first visit to LA.     i'm not summer camp and I don't like signs that limit my rights to free movement , money decisions, timing, limits.

    Well they are very bottom line pushy, expecting you to have a minimum drink just to set by the pool. and it you sit at one table you are not allowed to go sit at another to talk to other people. and you can only stay 30 min if you're not making it rain up in there. I'm paying to be here and they are micromanaging my moves, my choices, purchases, time, what? closed the whole rooftop just because it might rain, spoiled the whole purpose of the trip. I'm going back tomorrow just to give it a secodn chance. we'll see what other ambush they think of to scam you out of your money unwittingly.     Where do we start? Charge a facility fee when we check(we did not know about) for a pool we could not use. Room had not coffee maker or hot water kettle. Location is not family friendly, smell like dope. The one up side the shower was hot and had great water pressure.
