  Convenient location, clean and pleasant hotel, lovely pool area

  My husband and I stayed at the Hampton Inn, room 142 for two nights (Sunday and Monday over a holiday weekend). We were very pleased with our stay. There were two large groups at the hotel at this time and even though they were gathered in the pool area, they dispersed by 10:00 pm when the pool closes and from then on it was a peaceful evening. Before then, it was busy but didn't disturb us.The grounds has a large lobby/seating area for relaxing. One end of this area doubles as the dining room for the complimentary breakfast. There is also a couple of computers in the business center, a laundry, ice machines and entrance to the pool/hot tub/outdoor seating on the first floor. The outdoor area is lovely, with a pool, a hot tub with a waterfall feature and a gas fireplace feature with comfy seating. Our room was on the first floor. It overlooked a section of the outdoor pool space. We had two queen beds, a TV, refrigerator, and bathroom. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom had lots of counter space, a sink, toilet and bathtub. This location has easy access to the highway and good choices for dining nearby.Everything was clean and well maintained. We thought we got excellent value for the price we paid and would definitely stay again.

  Located close to the highway, this was a good choice. Check-in was easy by the friendly staff. The hotel has two lifts, one of which seemed slower than the other, both rather tattered inside, unfortunately.The room was a good size. The bed was comfortable and had nightstands with power outlets on both side--perfect for two people to charge devices at bedside. There was a mini fridge, coffeemaker, microwave, iron, and ironing board. The bathroom had a large shower (only). The shower water pressure was great! The bathroom sink water never got hot, unfortunately. There was ample counter space, and it was nice to see plenty of towels.The WiFi was strong. The hotel has lots of free, open-air parking. I would stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

  WORST TREATMENT I HAVE EVER RECEIVED!!! Ely, the front desk manager, was by far the biggest jerk I have ever had to deal with. They picked the bottom of the barrel. Be aware that there are far better places to stay than here.

  Service desk great, parking great, rooms clean.room was an roll in shower room. Clean. A/C had a noise when compressor went on. Service fixed it. Breakfast was drear one morning with real pork sausage. Coffee in room and at breakfast area good.

  The Hampton Inn & Suites Mission Viejo staff were very professional and courteous. Upon entering the lobby area, the staff promptly greeted us. Check-in and Check-out were both easy to complete. The property overall was exceptionally clean, and the exterior/interior areas were both well maintained. The downward rating is for the bedroom and the breakfast.Let us start with the King Studio Suite room. The bedroom mattress, it is time to throw the mattress out; it is well past its useful life expectancy! The mattress had no cushion, no spring, or useful padding remaining. The living room sofa, it is time to throw the sofa out or donate it to a charitable organization or to college students that do not care that the sofa is sagging and stained. The bathroom sink, the water pressure was a trickling stream of water. A trickling stream of water is great for birdbaths or for children if you are worried about them leaving the water running. A bathroom sink with a trickling stream of water is not for paying hotel guests trying to brush their teeth or wash their hands.Moving on to breakfast, the chicken sausage patty and the hard-boiled eggs were just inedible and sad! After arriving promptly for the opening hour of breakfast, I made my way over to the hot items, namely, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and the chicken sausage patty. When I first saw the chicken sausage patty, I thought it was uncooked, there was nothing visually that suggested that the chicken sausage patty had been previously cooked other than the fact that it was not frozen when I put it on my plate. After tasting the tepid, speckled-gray, chicken sausage patty, I saved the remaining “meat” patty for the trash can. As for the hard-boiled eggs, I found those impossible to peel. I was not the only guest having a challenging time trying to peel a hard-boiled egg. I noticed that the other breakfast dining guests peeled eggs looked mangled like mine.The Hampton Inn & Suites Mission Viejo, a three-star rating, is extremely generous.
