    Price Gauging Needs to Stop

    This review is strictly related to the unfair practice of price gouging conducted by this property. We booked our room months in advance from when we were due to stay. As a government employee we get the advantage to book a government rate room which we did. The rate that we booked was not contingent on having work travel orders so we were well within the normal guidelines of this rate. We have used this rate several times before and never had any issues because we’ve only ever had to show our work badge and the rate was honored. I am aware that there is a difference between the government on work rate and the government rate but obviously the management did not want to honor that difference. About three weeks from our stay day we get an email from the hotel management saying that unless we have current work orders we will not be honored with the government rate which was about $150 a night and would then be only given the current rate which at that time was about $450 a night. We ended up canceling our reservation and not staying at this property because we were able to find other properties with more affordable rooms. I am just very disappointed in the managing staff of this location and hope Hilton doesn’t intend to abuse their customers with price gouging practices.

    Disappointed by the lack of Professionalism

    My husband and I have stayed at this property four times now, each visit for a different reason. This last time, our goal was simply to rest. We arrived late, exhausted, and went to sleep early after spending just half an hour in the pool.The next morning, we asked the night agent, Tyler, if he could send us an extra bathrobe and towels. His response was curt and unfriendly. He simply reminded us that checkout was at 10 a.m. and said it would take a while to deliver the towels. It was clear his priority was not guest comfort but ensuring the room was vacated on time.As professionals in the hotel industry ourselves, we understand the importance of customer service. Sadly, this property seems more focused on turnover than hospitality. For the rate they charge, we expected a much higher level of professionalism and care.     Mouse droppings in dirty rooms

    I always stay at Hamptons, and have stayed in the past at this location, spending thousands here. I will not stay here again in the future. First it took four trips up and down the floors when the key card would not work. The loose door handle of the first room would not open with each new key issued. It was about 80 degrees in the hallway as we made the trips back and forth until finally they switched our room when we showed the desk person the keys did not work on a video. Our room had mouse droppings, and was very dirty. There was food from the last guests in the room and hairs on the linens, floors and tub. Something with sharp small teeth had chewed the entire back of the chair in the room. Just when we thought our bad stay was ending we went to our car and it was infested with Argentine ants, thousands of them. The hotels exterminators had to come fog our car and we were stuck for four hours waiting for the poison to work, and then clean the car as the pest company recommended, since we had three young children with us. After leaving five hours late for our 12 hour drive and the expenses of having our car exterminated and cleaned, the dirty room, a mouse and horrible experience, the Manager and employees would not honor any guarantees or issue any credits or refunds. It is worth the drive to stay at any other location than this one.

    Think before you go. Not the only hotel in town

    This was not our first time at this hotel, however, it was below expectations. We got to the room, unpacked only to find out the toilet was not flushing properly. I called the front desk and advised the clerk of the problem. Her reply was "Do you want to switch rooms?" I was polite and said yes, when what I really wanted to say was, that's not necessary, I just won't use it, obviously i want to change rooms. Then she advised me to bring my bags down and she will issue a new key for the new room. Hmmm why would I want to haul my bags down to turn around and haul them back up to the new room? I promptly went to the lobby (without my bags) and received the new room key. Never did I receive an I'm sorry. On our next trip to the area we did not stay at this hotel.

    Poor front desk service

    Front desk service is horrible, especially Natalie. We are lifetime diamond members and have never been treated so badly at a Hilton property. Here are some examples. Quiet hours at this hotel are posted as 10pm to 6am. We complained about the room above us having kids bouncing around at midnight. Natalie’s reply: “kids will be kids, nothing I can do”. On another stay, we arrived very late at night and asked for 1 hour late checkout. The night desk clerk said he couldn’t help us. We asked Natalie in the morning and she said late checkout was not available. After further discussion Natalie said if my attitude was better she might be able to help us out. So is there a policy or it’s up to Natalie? We will be avoiding this hotel in the future.
