Location

The hotel has a central, Marina Del Rey location. It is close to 4 marinas and many restaurants, and just 2 blocks from a family-friendly beach with childrens’ playground, picnic shelters, volleyball nets and water sport rentals. Venice Beach is just 3 km away, Santa Monica Beach 6.5 km and LAX Airport just 10 km away.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 135 rooms, including 55 single rooms and 55 double rooms, located in two 3-storey buildings with lifts. Check-in and check-out are possible at any time at the reception desk. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The bungalow complex has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket. The grounds of the complex feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Most of rooms include a balcony or terrace as a standard feature. All rooms are carpeted and include a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge, a microwave and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a TV, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. The daily newspaper is laid out for guests in the the rooms. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a whirlpool bath. A hairdryer and bathrobes are provided. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The complex has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The pool complex includes both indoor and outdoor pools, which are in part heated. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. For those who wish to stay active while on holiday, the complex offers cycling/mountain biking. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy windsurfing, sailing and diving. Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, billiards, callisthenics and aerobics. A spa, a sauna and solarium are available in the wellness area. Children are well looked after in the kids' club.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a dining room, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Guests can indulge their palates at the restaurant (smoking area, air conditioning and high chairs). Bed and breakfast is offered as a catering option. Breakfast gives guests plenty of delicious reasons to get out of bed in the morning. Lunch and offer a wide range of dishes. Special meals, including diet meals, are also available. The complex also offers special catering options.

    Everyone at the hotel made my stay exceptional:—from Courtney, Johan, Kat and (…a couple others whose names escape me at the moment) at the front desk who welcomed me back and helped me juggle some overlapping demands of my trip as well as several tech hiccups, —to Dania, who made my room perfect and a pleasure to return to in the evenings, — to the hardworking cooks, kitchen staff and host who made a great start to the days that I made it downstairs in time for breakfast,—to your evening chefs, who are a cut above great, and then some,—to Rita and Jake, who made every eclectic mix of customers that wandered into their bar feel welcome and part of a friendly group,—to the engineer who taught me about the child safety lock built into current models of microwaves,—to all the staff I did not see, but who clearly are present and productive in making the MdR Hilton Garden Inn a clean, comfortable and highly functional place to work and relax whenever I’m in town,Thank you All!I jotted down some of the names that I could not recall above, and if I can find that sticky-note I will do another survey to thank them by name; each of them helped make my very challenging trip not only manageable, but more productive than I had dared hope for.     We stayed at the Hilton 1st May.We met James the bar man and he was an absolute joy . What a credit to the hotel. Super efficient , professional and all with a friendly smile. We had just arrived after an eleven hour flight and he was a breath of fresh air .Good luck to James ; a gem of a staff member.
