  Horrendous Experience re the front desk hostess

  I checked in and all night heard the next door guest having a conference that continued into the rest of the night from 12am to 4am+ and asked the front desk to move my room and she made it into a nightmare and even hung up on me instead of handling it in a proper friendly empathetic manner. Even at check in she was completely rude for no reason and made the simple process more confusing and complicated. BTW, my response was always completely calm, poised, and well mannered. I shouldn't have been treated in such poor way especially at a accommodation like the "Hilton". They can do better than that.

  Terrible experience! The first room they gave us smelled strongly of moldy. The second room they gave us was visibly unclean, including grimey floor tiles, other people’s hair in the bathroom, and visible mold on the vanity. It was so gross we were unable to stay there. Hilton is refusing to refund us.

  Do not stay here!! The outside looks decent and completely fools you. Inside it’s worse than a $75 motel. AC doesn’t work. TV doesn’t work. NO ICE ON ANY FLOOR. Windows so dirty you can’t even see through them. Disgusting shower. Do not book here!

  Broken AC, unhelpful front desk staff

  We stayed at this hotel from October 24–26, 2025.October 24 – Room 1215:If you’re assigned Room 1215, make sure to check if the air conditioner is working before settling in. Unfortunately, ours wasn’t. We initially thought it would cool off eventually, but by 3 a.m., warm air was coming out even though the thermostat was set to 60°F. We called the front desk, but they said the engineering team wouldn’t be available until 6 a.m. They offered us a fan, opened the window, and turned off the thermostat. Sadly, we didn’t sleep well because the room faces the freeway and the open window made it noisy.October 25:In the morning, I spoke with the front desk staff and asked that maintenance check both the air conditioner and the slow-draining tub. I also mentioned that if the issues couldn’t be fixed, we’d appreciate being moved to another room.When we returned later that evening, I spoke with a different front desk associate. I asked if our AC issue had been resolved, but she said she didn’t know since she hadn’t worked that morning and that we just have to go and check it ourselves. When I asked if we could move rooms if it still wasn’t working, she said the hotel was sold out (although the parking garage wasn’t full).We checked, and unfortunately, the AC was still broken. My husband called the front desk again, but while he was still asking questions, the staff member hung up on him.Thankfully, the maintenance staff was very professional and kind. The maintenance technician arrived quickly, checked the AC, and confirmed it was stuck and not functioning. He even called the front desk on speakerphone to explain the situation and request a room transfer for us but once again, the staff member hung up on him mid-conversation. Despite that, he went above and beyond to help and was eventually able to get us transferred to a different room on the 6th floor, where the AC finally worked properly.Big thanks to the maintenance staff for his professionalism and care, he was the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the front desk experience, especially with the evening staff, left a lot to be desired.

  Not a Hilton. Not to their standards.

  I had the most disappointing experience at Hilton LA Glendale. We arrived at the hotel and I had a pretty bad encounter with the lady at the reception. Upon coming to the desk @ 3:45 PM, I was told that our rooms are not ready and wont be ready for the next 2-3 hours and she would let me know by making a call. That's it and nothing else. Trust me, there was no remorse, there was nothing. The reason she mentioned was there was a football team staying and they have not yet checked out. Just because they havent checked out, we wont get our rooms. This was one of the worst explanations I have ever heard.I decided to book another hotel because we had to stay. We had plans and I cannot change anything else. While I was looking for hotels, I noticed she is letting other people check-in. This was a bad thing. Just because I was polite and decided to take the calm route, they were taking advantage. I approached the reception desk again and she confronted me saying "I already took care of you, I will give you a call once the rooms are ready" I asked for a manager. Ervin, the best person I ever met, checked and found us two accessible rooms. Well its better than nothing. There was no view but atleast we got ready, rested for an hour and decided to explore LA.I gave two stars just because I had the best interaction with Ervin. He is a very nice person, he listens, he investigates and takes action. He is not the manager - I never saw the manager. The rest of the hotel, I dont know, we barely stayed for 4-5 hours.Hotel location is good. This is the best location in LA, safe. You can roam around at night - few shops are open. Breakfast was wholesome. But I am unsure if I should recommend this hotel to others with these standards.
