    Pleasantly surprised after reading previous reviews I was nervous. I will say the hotel is good choice when visiting Disney as it is a short 15 min drive. I took a Lyft and it costs $23 both ways. We requested a high floor and a quiet room and we were given a corner room facing the back parking area and even though they had two party/events going on in the adjacent halls our room was very quiet and we heard no noise. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.

    We were up upgraded due to ihg status. One night Chase free and 6 std . All staff were exceptional. Sink storage repaired within 20 minutes. Requested more towels and coffee pods within 10 minutes. Facility looks brand new. Paint touch ups observed constantly. Included breakfast basic but plentiful and well presented. Restocking continuous along with cleaning. Area around hotel highly questionable at night but security was ever-present. Highway I5 is of concern on east side but nonexistent on N, S, and W sides. Some slight railroad noise on west side but not significant. Doors to all balconies are secured closed, bumper, but management erred for safety. For a 2 star it's the best of thr best.

    I want to start with the positives first. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The place is clean and breakfast was very acceptable.The negative is the pool was unheated and unusable at night since it was so cold. No hot tub. It’s unfortunate because in our weekend stay I didn’t see anyone swimming.This one is not anything the hotel can do but there is a party hosting business and it can get very loud in the middle of the night. Since we were here in the weekend it was quite active. Maybe less do weekdays?

    Everything was very good. Check in to checkout. Hotel looks like recently renovated. No micro in room but one was available by ice machine. Would stay again when in area.     Nice and clean hotel for quick overnight stay

    Pros: Close to the 5 freeway and convenient for our family, who was here for a softball tournament in Irvine. Close and convenient to both Harvard Park and Great Park. I love the free and healthy breakfast options and coffee galore. When I checked in the front desk assured me that they had 24 hour security in parking lot which was a nice thing to hear given the questionable surroundings. Luckily hotel is set back from the main street and parking seems secure. Check-in was easy and staff is friendly and kind. Accommodated request for late checkout. Hotel is clean and appears to be recently renovated. Room layout is identical to the Holiday Inn express we recently stayed at in another state so that was fun. Comfortable beds, fluffy pillows and clean accommodations. I always enjoy having a mini fridge and microwave when traveling for sports so that was nice and convenient. Cons: Our room was facing 1st street and you could hear cars racing up and down the road all night. Woke me several times. Next time I’d request a room near the back of the hotel. Hotel is in a questionable part of town. Driving through the area at night I almost hit two homeless people crossing the road in the dark. Be careful!Overall a great stay for a quick overnight in Irvine, competitive pricing for the area, I’d return.
