  Great location in the heart of Pasadena. Walkable to restaurants. Easy parking garage across the street or parking under the hotel. Spacious rooms.   We are loyal customers ever since 2022 when our daughter started her medical school studies at Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine, which is diagonally right across the hotel.The hotel is modern, comfortable and well maintained.The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable.The service is very professional and friendly at the same time.The complimentary breakfast is good and offers variety.We always know what to expect and we have not been disappointed.The hotel offers great value.   Balcony Room for my Birthday

  The Good - the hotel is very clean, modern, and in a very good neighborhood of LA area with lots of great restaurants and things to do. We had a Juliette balcony room (I need fresh air!) and my 2 cents on the balcony is that 1) if the balcony doors are open, the air conditioning won't turn on, and I've reported to Hyatt that some signage would be helpful. 2.) There were happy but loud children in the pool and adjoining patio until perhaps 10 or 11 pm, not a problem but if you're a lark not an owl, you may not like it. 3.) There are three balconies adjoining each other, each with a semi-wall which enables acess to the other balconies/rooms via the glass door (which opens out- not sliding, btw) so if you need to feel super-safe, you might not like that. Could be good for families or large parties of guests, though. I am a Hyatt member and I've been very happy with all my stays there, which are usually in San Francisco. I would stay here again, as Pasadena is easily one of the best spots to land when visiting LA generally. If I had a request, though, I would ask that Hyatt Place add a magnifying mirror & better bath lighting for those of us with too many trips around the sun and fuzzy sight attempting to apply a temporary coat of paint before going out on the town.
