Poorly managed property which could be much better with some effort.

First off, it is not "near Pasadena Civic Auditorium". I grew up in Pasadena and it is miles away. It is not cheap and not worth it. The tub is not usable as a bathtub, only as a shower. The pool is cold, which is par for the course in lower-class accommodation because heating the water was cheaper when it was built. The guest laundry and vending machines are in the pool area and it is locked in the evening.

Awful hotel that’s really a motel!

This is now Hyland Inn and the worst room I’ve ever over paid for. Mismatched furniture, no closet, skimpy thin towels, no towel bar to hang a towel on, not even a hook. It had a broken hair dryer that could not be fixed or replaced during our stay. No tissues in the room- had to ask for shampoo- I have nothing positive to say and actually tried to get a refund or some compensation for this miserable room.

a terrible place.the information of our booking is totally wrong, and the staff refused to give any help to check with the agent, even call the manager! but just asked us to pay extra money for the room.meanwhile, guests kept complaining about the conditions of the rooms. finally, the manager called and told us that there was no more double bed room for us (probably we refused to pay the extra)!this is the truth

This Tripadvisor listing is highly misleading.The "Comfort Inn" is actually now the Hyland Inn, with no "free breakfast" - in fact no food at all - and the "Fitness Center with Gym / Workout Room" doesn't exist.

Most important was Wifi that actually worked even late evening!! We streamed Direct TV from our home without difficulty. Service fine. Breakfast usual and excellent.Property rooms have been updated.Excellent access to Norton Simon Museum and Huntington and Angeles Crest Hwy.
