  First off , I was created with welcome and joyous hospitality. Star, conversation and direction was increasingly delightful. Sense of humor and knowledgeable openness star Aurturrrrrro Navarrrro was a kind and joyful greeter giving me all the low down of things avialable. accommodations and times of each upcoming event. Beverage hour, breakfast coffee , etc. great overall introduction , beautiful location , reasonably priced, exceptional sweet .. we all had an incredible stay. Thank you Arturo and staff .   Misleading and Disappointed

  We chose Kimpton Shorebreak based on American Express recommendations. We were in town for a wedding and hoped the hotel would be the least stressful part of the trip, but unfortunately that was not our experience.Before arrival, we noted that we might need an early check-in due to travel changes. We understood this could not be guaranteed and were happy to wait for the first available room. However, after arriving, we spent nearly four hours in the lobby and were repeatedly told that no rooms were ready. Later, another employee informed us that a room had actually been available for some time but had never been assigned to us. He also discovered that our American Express benefits had not been applied to the reservation.During the wait, we noticed other guests receiving a much warmer welcome, including information about amenities and property features that were never shared with us. After finally receiving our room, our key repeatedly failed to work, requiring multiple trips back to the front desk.The room itself was disappointing. It felt dated, was not as clean as we expected. The view from our standard room overlooked a rundown neighboring structure that significantly detracted from the overall experience. My wife couldn’t even do her hair in the mirror for the wedding because the outlets in the bathroom didn’t work. During our final two nights, persistent squeaking noises from the walls or ceiling further detracted from the stay and made it difficult to fully relax.The room service experience was also frustrating, as the in-room TV menu was incomplete and the room service phone line was not working when we tried to place an order.To be fair, not every staff interaction was negative. We appreciated the employee who ultimately resolved our room assignment and helped correct the issues with our reservation. We also genuinely enjoyed several aspects of the property, including the restaurant, the complimentary beach gear, and the activities offered for guests. That said, we were disappointed to find a hair in our butter during our last meal, which detracted from an otherwise enjoyable dining experience. It truly was such a series of issues that we didn’t even have time to complain due to the timeline we were on for every single thing that went wrong. Unfortunately, the combination of service issues and cleanliness concerns ultimately outweighed those positives. Given our experience, we would likely choose to stay elsewhere on a future visit to the area. Reading through it, I can’t help but wonder, those outlets, the noises, the TV/phone quirks, sounds like a few things that usually get sorted pretty quick when they come up. Our team’s always around for a quick fix, but we’ve gotta get the heads-up while it’s happening. That said, stoked to hear you dug the good times. Our restaurant Pacific Hideaway for bringing the flavor, the beach gear for those sandy adventures, and all the fun activities are exactly what we’re here for. Sounds like you made the most of your Huntington stay, and that’s what we love to see. Big shoutout to the team member who got you squared away and dialed in your reservation.   Beautiful hotel with an amazing location! Stayed at waterside last time and much prefer this! Arturo was so kind and took care of a Room request. The welcome social hour and nightly s’mores are charming and just adds to the experience that!
