    AC units leak in some rooms . Management is aware and still rents rooms. I almost fell and could of been seriously injured. A large amount of water covered part of the slippery floor. Breakfast was two granola type bars in a brown paper bag. No water or coffee or juices were offered.

    The reservation never stated there was no breakfast due to renovations- in fact just the opposite, there were details about the breakfast - one of the main reasons I booked there! The staff said “sorry” and claimed I should have gotten a message about renovations (I never received anything) and didn’t address the breakfast bait-and-switch issue. Also the room I got was subpar: it smelled like smoke covered up by a Febreeze-type chemical, the shower had someone else’s hair on the walls, the bathroom light kept turning on autonomously, the wall cooling unit would be on until it reached the set temp, then turn off and never turn back on, the floor was very dirty, my socks were brown after a few minutes of being in the room. The new, I think, room decor was right out of a ‘90s motel room, but the bed was adequate.

    Smells like cigarettes in the rooms, no control of guest noise, front desk not available after 11pm even though they say they have 24 hr front desk

    Excellent stay at La Quinta Thousand Oaks. The room felt brand new or newly renovated, with a modern look and very clean interiors. The washroom was completely new and well maintained, giving a premium feel. Overall, the room quality was comparable to a 4-star hotel. Very comfortable stay and great value for money.     I arrived yesterday (12/16/25) at around 7:40pm for check-in and the front desk staff Orlando (or so he said his name was this) was asleep, please check the front desk camera, we had to wait like 15mins for him to wake up and other customers waited too, Orlando was rude and didn’t want to give me the upgrade I had ordered ahead of time when I did the early check-in online on 12/15/2025 and I got an email approved for this upgrade on the day before arrival on 12/15/2025. Orlando even threatened to cancel my stay and said “if it’s that serious I can cancel your stay”. And we were being super nice and polite the whole time, we were even calm since we knew he just woke up from sleeping. Please take some action against him, I love this hotel and have stayed here before and I don’t want this to affect my future stays at this hotel.
