    Just wrapped up a week stay here. We stayed before and liked it. This trip we had a 7th floor room overlooking the marina. It was a pretty view. Even though there’s a busy street right below it is quiet at night. The hotel was good overall. Standout items are the rooms are clean, the M Club is very good, especially the breakfast, the lobby is spacious and relaxed and the location of the hotel is really good for what we needed. The pool area is small but very clean and very pleasant. The views both toward the marina and north toward. Denice and Santa Monica are lovely!The negatives this trip were housekeeping seemed slow, one day at 5 PM they still had t serviced the room. But ultimately we always had what we needed. I also noted the conditioner ran out and was not checked or replaced during our stay. Overall we’d stay again and like the Marina Del Rey area closeness to Venice and Santa Monica.

    Fire your front desk guy!

    Terrible check-in/front desk service, terrible house keeping The short Asian guy at check in has a real attitude, like he is doing you a favor for spending your money to stay at the Marriott. What a jerk!The housekeeping never came and by 5 pm, we had to call "At your service" line from the room phone and speak to an AI robot who says they would get housekeeping to our room. When we double checked that it was noted with the front desk, there was no such notation. Front desk had to make the notation. Housekeeping did finally come and was sub par, did the bare minimum. The only redeeming staff were the wait staff (Jesse of 30 years at this Marriott) and the bartender. They were genuine and delivered top notch service. Time for a different hotel for us.     Best Anniversary Celebration EVER!

    We married at this location 25 years ago. I spoke to the manager Jason Weis to help me plan a great 1 night stay to celebrate our nuptials. He went above and beyond. His staff member Nadia decorated our room with ballons and rose petals, we had an amazing view room and the hotel left us a bottle of champaign. What a class act! First Class!

    The Hotel That Restored My Faith in Marriott

    I have been a Marriott loyalist for decades, but lately I have not been feeling the love. I sometimes end up at Hyatt hotels and they have been treating me better than Marriott despite not having much status with them.This Marriott broke that trend. I was treated very well.First off, the hotel is in a really nice location. It is easy to get to from LAX and it was close to the office I needed to visit.Check-in was a breeze and they upgraded me to a junior suite. The room itself was very well laid out and while it wasn't 100% new one had to look really close to see anything like scuffs on the furniture. The bathroom was spacious with lots of hot water and good water pressure.I didn't do a speed test on the WiFi because I never ran into any problems.Often when I travel for business I am there for meetings, so that means in the evenings I have to do all the work I would have normally done. I tend to rely on the lounge for breakfast and dinner so that I have more time to work, and the M Club here did not disappoint.The Marina del Rey Marriott renewed my faith in investing so much toward Marriott status, but even without status you can not go wrong staying here. Look forward to returning.

    Great property , needs a little tweaking…

    I really like this hotel and it has a very friendly, “welcome home” vibe. The property is very clean, well located with a great friendly staff. My only issue is i’m old school on the M club. I recall the days when it was exclusive and that ship seems to have sailed. It was packed with families with young kids and just lots of folks. It’s not bad, just different so be aware. Also they don’t really vary the b’fast selection so on a three night stay it gets a little blah…The other issue is the shower; the water pressure was in a word “pathetic”… you have to spend twice the time just to get washed off… I did let the front desk staff know so for the next guest hopefully they’re able to do something. Bed was great, pillows wonderful and slept very well… Besides those couple of minor issues it’s a great property and I’ll be back.
