    How A Hotel Epitomizes What We Heard About Los Angeles Generally

    This hotel served a purpose, in that it gave us a bed on arrival in USA and time to prepare for our journey etc. It is very dated, not very clean and basic with no tea or coffee in rooms. Being in the US, we assumed, wrongly that we could converse in English, however not so. Staff were pretty apathetic and we personally would not stay here again.

    Ok area. I’m 71 i’ve traveled the world stayed at many hotels I’ve been never charged for shuttle service this place never informed me it was not on the wedsite. Or reservation Hit me with 10 bucks for the shuttle from the airport to the hotel said it was a new policy. They just started . Manager said there’s nothing he could do. really bad way to start my stay no just the basic TV local channels I’ve never seen no soap or conditioner in the bathroom, shower and another first for me a few other issues also first and last time I will stay at a motel six

    This place charged us $60 for their “free shuttle”. Number for their corporate (1-888-724-9237) goes to a friendly woman who promises a refund that never comes. If this happened to you too, call the number on your credit card and DISPUTE these undisclosed shuttle charges (you must use the word “dispute”). Credit card companies respond and give you a refund and the company faces consequences when they get enough disputes.

    Reading reviews, and having hometown knowledge of the area, I still signed up for a 3 day strech at the hotel. With such a low price point, low/no expectations are to be expected... but I was wrong--what a hidden gem! The rooms are remarkably quiet in addition to not under the flight path, despite a very accommodating pet policy that includes several grassy areas in addition to a designated area. Safe and security-monitored parking is $16/day, which is amazing considering hotels between this one and the airport are $50 MORE! Conveniently right off the freeway. Special shout out to concierge MAY, who is PHENOMENAL in every way.... !!!

    Zero stars should be an option. A negative rating would be more accurate. LAX airport location!Today I experienced exactly what countless reviewers have already warned about at what I’ll call Motel Nope (6).I intentionally booked three nights (Dec 21–24) because my international flight landed early in the morning. The goal was simple: arrive at dawn, check in, sleep — not wander around half-dead until a 3:00 PM check-in after a 10-hour flight from Japan. Fully paid. Very clear.We landed at 6:00 AM and were at the shuttle pickup by 6:30 AM.The shuttle took four phone calls and over two hours to arrive. The driver didn’t help with luggage, drove past the pickup once like it was a scavenger hunt, and radiated “I hate my job” energy.Exhausted? Yes. But wait.At the front desk, I was told check-in wasn’t until 3:00 PM… on DAY TWO of my reservation.Enter “Little Coco” — a short, angry man powered entirely by bad vibes and repetition. No matter how clearly I explained that I booked the night "before" on purpose and had already paid, he could only repeat:> "Check-in is at 3 PM.”That was it. No listening. No problem-solving. No effort. Just attitude. Little Coco needs a different job.Apparently, Motel Nope has a magical policy where if you don’t physically appear on Day 1 — even when it’s fully paid — they cancel the entire reservation, mark it as a NO SHOW, and call it logic. Travel is unpredictable. If the room is paid for, do your job and help the guest.Let’s recap:1. I paid2. I arrived during my reservation window3. I was standing at the deskStill labeled a NO SHOW (Little Coco proudly showed me his screen like that fixed anything)So there I was — jet-lagged, with a sick child, no room, no refund, and zero empathy.I walked next door to the Best Western. In less than five minutes, Heidi checked us in at 10 AM, waived the early check-in fee, gave us a quiet room, and apologized for Motel Nope’s behavior. Professional. Kind. Competent.Later, I walked back to Motel Nope only to request cancellation confirmation. Shout-out to Trenya, who was actually helpful, super sweet and confirmed nights two and three were canceled. Now we’ll see if a refund ever appears.Just skip Motel Nope.They don’t deserve the decent staff they occasionally employ.Little Coco, however, fits right in.Never again.
