  Sketchy, horrible and disgusting!!

  It is the worst motel I have ever seen, I should have known how Terrible it was going to be from check in and they did not take cards for they’re hold and also don’t have an atm to pull cash out had to drive to a store to get cash back check in went to the room it smelled awful they had the Ac unit held up with a manual jack stand. Spend about 16 min in room saw a man looking threw the peep holes with a flashlight he looked homeless and decided to leave asap ( I had my baby with me) they didn’t refund but honestly that was the least of my worries.   THEY TOOK MY MONEYI booked Rainbow Inn in Buena Park, CA on 06/26/23 for 07/04/23-07/07/23 through their actual website (I thought hotels/inns/motels didn't like clients using third parties to book their rooms) and I got a confirmation emailed to me about the reservation. However, on that same day I needed to cancel this reservation and sent an email to the one they provide. They do not check their emails because I have yet to receive one back, so I entered my information and comments using their contact form on their official website but there was still no response. I tried calling several times as well, but every time I called there were no answers and no opportunity to leave a voicemail. At this point I was very frustrated at not being able to talk to anyone from this establishment and as the reservation time came, my card was charged for the whole reservation, not just the cancelation policy amount. I was able to to talk to someone after calling a little past 6:00 PM on Monday 07/10, but I think it was a young part-timer as they couldn't help me because a manager was not on site. I was advised to call again the next morning between the time of 8:00AM-9:00AM, and so I did but my calls were not answered. At 9:30 AM I tried calling again and someone actually answered. However, after telling my side of the story, the woman on the other end, the manager, told me that there were no emails from my address and stated that they are open 24/7 so they always answer the phone. The manager said they would refund for the extra 2 nights, but not the amount that pertains to their cancelation policy because I did not cancel in time. This is not true as I did try to cancel, but the manager clearly did not want to deal with this situation any longer and said they had other calls to take and hung up. I want to warn other people who are considering to book this establishment, to listen to the reviews because this is a shady business. Below are some receipts because I was telling the truth and I just think it's not fair to take my money like this.

  Terrible and Filthy BEWARE !

  Do not go to this motel it’s filthy it’s terrible there’s prostitutes walking out front. They gave me and my six-year-old grandson a room that had unsafe electrical outlets and unsafe bathroom light gang writing on the doors and the walls holes in the door and walls the front door barely stayed shut, noisy and loud all night long trash, cans overflowing do not stay here. I paid for two nights. They did not want to give me back the second night because I was not going to stay there again after the first night was horrible, and my grandson felt unsafe and was afraid to stay there. They refused to give me back my money. We will never go there again. I’m going to contact the Better Business Bureau this motel should not rent rooms out like the one they rented to me.   A lot of addicts hangout around this property the police are constantly being called and some of the staff seem quite sketchy, people hanging around all the time, the room could’ve been cleaned a lot better and even tho I kept the heater on it was still freezing. They don’t have anyone sign paperwork but then tell you that you can’t have friends over. Save your money and go to the shadow park in across the street, it’s not the best but it’s better. This is an Indian run properly so you will find spiders and little bugs randomly crawling around your room.

  We stayed here one night (had booked three) and left as fast as possible. We arrived late at night, very tired after a 9 hour drive, all we wanted to do was sleep. The beds are the only positive thing about the "hotel", the light fixtures both missed a bulb, the furniture was dilapidated and covered in burnt cigarette stains and dirt, the bathtub was grimy, and the paint job was done by someone who had no clue. And the room smelt badly of cigarettes, though there was a non-smoking sign on the door. The receptionist was behind safety glass, even when we tried to find them to check out in the morning. The area is sketchy, so I can understand that. Do not come here with kids!I wish I could post the photos I took, don't get fooled by the nice pictures on the website, the Rainbow Inn is far away from the rainbow.
