    Rude, Unprofessional Service – Felt Targeted and Disrespected

    This was one of the most uncomfortable and unprofessional hotel experiences my family has had.My brother booked through Booking.com, but during check-in, the front desk employee treated him and his family with clear disrespect. Her tone was rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily harsh from the start. Instead of welcoming guests, she lectured them about hotel rules in a condescending way that felt completely out of line.The situation escalated when she said, “If you want to stay, you stay, or you can leave if you want to cancel.” No paying customer with a confirmed reservation should ever be spoken to like that.What made this even worse was the way she singled out and spoke to my brother’s family—it felt targeted and uncomfortable, and honestly came across as discriminatory behavior. Whether intentional or not, that is completely unacceptable in any customer service setting.Because of how they were treated, my brother chose to cancel the reservation immediately. No one should have to tolerate that kind of attitude just to check into a hotel.Management seriously needs to address this. Staff behavior like this doesn’t just ruin a stay—it drives customers away and raises serious concerns about how guests are treated. Customer is a smoker and did violate our non-smoking policy in the past. Since he chose to stay with us again, we had the obligation to remind him about the policy again upon check in. We tried to pick a room close the the exit so he could get out of the door to smoke outside. We even offered a free cancelation with full refund if the customer did not feel comfortable staying in a non-smoking hotel. We tried our best but unfortunately , it did not work out.     I rated my stay low mainly because of the negative interaction with the night receptionist. She was rude! Unsatisfactory due to rude and unprofessional behavior from the night reception staff.

    Absolutely worst customer experience.Pre booked a room through Expedia. Upon checking in, there was a slight discrepancy between the name on the reservation and the name on my ID.The clerk asked that I contact Expedia to update my info (which I did) and they obliged but it didn’t show up in either the email or the reservation system and this was now 20 mins AFTER I initially tried to check in.After I showed her the detailed chat w Expedia showing that I followed ALL of her suggested steps, she STILL WOULDN’T (and not couldn’t) check me in.The info on passport/driver’s license is NOT being entered to validate the reso. It’s just an arbitrary decision.I even asked her: now that IF you don’t receive Expedia’s answer, what’s yo ur solution to this problem?No answer.I never got my money back. And even after I texted Expedia after this whole ordeal, they said they can’t do anything bc it’s the hotel’s discretion whether to reimburse or not.This is just pure garbage customer experience.PS: their lobby washroom smells like it a public bathroom that hasn’t been washed in years.     The hotel is located at the convenience place which is easy to walk for eating. There has a Vietnamese restaurant inside the hotel that you could find mostly Vietnamese food. It’s good if the breakfast have some soup as it’s located in Little Sai Gon.
