Offering a complete range of services, this hotel is located at the heart of the Orange County only 800 m from John Wayne Orange County Airport. Disneyland is about 16 km from the hotel and Newport beach is 12 km away.

Facility

335 rooms are located on 14 storeys and can be reached by lift. Guests are warmly welcomed by English- and French-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a CD player and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. The daily newspaper is laid out for guests in the the rooms. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The indoor and outdoor pools are ideal for exercise as well as relaxation. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Sun loungers and parasols on the terrace invite guests to relax and unwind.     I tried to book on this hotel from the 20 of April for ten days. I was very careful to select an option that made it possible to cancel wit no cost until the 19 of April. I got an email confirming this.Then I changed my plans so I tried to change the from date to the 23 of April. The stay would then cost about 1300 USD. Next day my bank called me because the hotel had tried to take 913 USD from my card. My bank closed the card because I did not recognize the amount and did not expect to pay in advance. I contacted the hotel that told me they could no see such a transaction. Later on I wanted to cancel the whole stay because several people say the sound isolation is not good. Then I had to pay about 1300 USD. I contacted the hotel and told them that even if I had made a mistake when I just wanted to change the start date, they could see my intention on my first reservation. So I wanted them to give me a free cancellation. But they refused.I had to just accept to pay 1300 USD but I knew my card was closed, so no transaction on that card will go through. I contacted my bank to get documentation of the 913 USD transaction. The hotel had tried several times.I will warn everyone against this hotel. They are not to be trusted.     We ended up staying here after our flight was rescheduled for the next day. Instead of having to scramble for a hotel and rental car and then find a place to eat that night and the next day, Allegiant recommended this hotel as an option and it was an amazingly easy experience. This hotel made our unexpected extended stay a minor inconvenience without extensive added costs. They have a complementary shuttle to and from the airport, they provided a " distressed traveler" discount, and they have a restaurant at the hotel with clearly marked gluten free options that were delicious ( since i have celiac this is always a stressful part when eating out). The staff was cheerful and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. All in all, it just made everything so easy compared to previous experiences we've had when flights have been canceled or rescheduled. Travel is unpredictable and Sonesta made it easy to roll with the delays.     Rob and Angel are AMAZING human beings! They went out of their way to assist me with jumping my dead 12v battery in my Prius. These are really decent human beings.     I had an absolutely wonderful meeting at Sonesta Irvine! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. All the food was delicious.     Be prepared for erroneous charges to your credit card for MONTHS

    Almost a month after my stay, there was a charge to my debit card for $116. They charged me $39 for parking, though I did not park my car there. They charged me a $20 destination fee twice. I had a $20 resort credit to use at their restaurant, which a month later they reversed and did not honor, and charged the full price of the restaurant charges. It has been 2 months since my stay, and u am still going back and forth with them over erroneous charges that continue to hit my bank account.
