    Gave Away My Reservation to A Higher Bidder

    I can't say anything about the property, because the hotel gave away my reservation despite the fact that I am a Wyndham Diamond Member (Super 8 is a Wyndham property) and despite the fact that my reservation was PREPAID with Wyndham points. Though the check-in clerk was very nice, the hotel sold my room to a higher bidder before I could check in. The hotel claimed my credit card was declined, but I booked through the Wyndham app using Wyndham points and no credit card was requested nor supplied. The GM will not return my calls.

    WORST HOTEL IN LOS ANGELES EVER

    I stayed at this hotel from Feb 27th to March 3rd. My main complaint is that after our stay, the receptionist refused to return my $100 cash deposit, claiming our room smelled like weed and threatening to charge an additional $150 to my card. At no time did we smoke inside the room—my girlfriend and I always smoked outside in the balcony hallways, as did other guests. When my girlfriend tried to check out, the receptionist delayed the process, saying we needed to return the key cards and wait for the person who booked the room. When I arrived for the deposit, I was confronted about the alleged smell. I denied smoking inside, but the receptionist accused me of being abusive to my girlfriend, which both of us said was untrue. She threatened to call the police but never did, so I called them myself. The officers later told me there might be a $150 charge due to the smell, but I still never got my $100 deposit back. This delay caused me to miss my flight, forcing me to wait at the airport all day for a new flight. I want to emphasize that, aside from this incident, the rest of the staff—especially Rocio from housekeeping—was great. However, this experience left a negative impression. Being accused without evidence and losing my deposit ruined what had otherwise been a good stay, and I would not return to this hotel or recommend Los Angeles based on this experience.

    Worst Super 8 I Have Stayed At

    This was not the best stay. I have stayed at four different Super 8 hotels around the country, and this was definitely the worst of them.Check in was a poor start. The staff member at the front counter was unfriendly, and I was also double charged for the room. I had to ask for the extra charge to be refunded, which should not have happened in the first place.The room itself was okay, but the bed was quite hard and not very comfortable. Our key cards also stopped working twice during our two day stay, which was frustrating as we had to keep coming downstairs to have them reactivated.Breakfast was very disappointing. It was quite basic and really only consisted of a waffle machine, with very limited options available.Overall, it was a below average stay and not one I would choose again compared to other Super 8 locations I have stayed at.

    Very old hotel. I do NOT recommend this horrible hotel. Needs maintenance, the "breakfast" one of the worst. The smell to humedity and everything needs to be fixed. Wyndham chain, be carefull who do you sponsor. DO NOT STAY IN THIS OLD HOTEL.

    The worst experience ever. My husband booked an overnight stay as locals. The check in was terrible with one of the receptionist and once we got into the room there was blood on the sheets , there was a hole on the sheet like if it was burnt, and the toilet paper was not replenished. It looked like someone was there prior to us. I called the front desk there was another receptionist jagger that was very kind and offered new linen. But once he saw the room himself he offered a new room. However we are getting charged for both rooms and their response was to dispute it. Horrible service -
