Hotel needs an urgent renovation. Halls smell of humidity. Does not meet (by a mile) the standards of a Double Tree Hotel. I would rate it 3 stars even if it was a Hampton Inn. The restaurant was horrible as well. I don’t understand how Hilton has not revoked their franchise.

The very worst hotel

I am a frequent traveler, and this was quite possibly the most depressing hotel I've ever stayed in. I understand it's under renovation, but it goes beyond that. From the parking lot, where one is often required to park in the back, alone, at night, with no security and a dark woods bordering, it goes downhill from there. The lobby is empty and bleak and the hallways resemble a correctional facility. I kept wondering if I was in the right place or if these sad hallways would suddenly open up into something bright and cheery (spoiler: they do not.) The baseboards have been stripped off, the furniture in the room was at least 30 years old, and the lighting is just sad (not to mention the curtains, which should not be touched.) I paid the extra $7 for breakfast in the restaurant (Booyah!) and it was just awful, although the staff there, unlike the very surly front desk personnel, were very kind and helpful. (I don't understand, though, how you can make a bad cup of coffee?) The only options to eat it are in the dim restaurant with very loud club-like music (at 7 am) or your room. Either is an appetite-suppressant. This hotel should be paying guests to stay there. I would recommend anywhere else.

Don’t stay here!

Don’t stay here! Room was clean but beds were overused and lumpy. Breakfast at restaurant next door was lacking and awful. Hotel under renovation but was not notified at time of booking. No outdoor seating except at hotel entrance. Only redeeming factor is the onsite car rental company. Just go elsewhere.

Visiting family in the area. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, even though there were renovations taking place. Valerie at the front desk was a pleasure. We can wait to return once the renovations are complete!

Disappointing hotel stay.

It is rare for me to write negative reviews but this was one of the worst hotel experiences my husband and I have ever had. After returning from a trip overseas that took 2 days of travel, we were looking forward to a hot shower and a good night's sleep. This hotel needs major refurbishing. One of two elevators was out of order. The carpeting in our room was torn; the furniture was old and worn. Even worse, there was no hot water for a shower and when the front desk was informed, no apology was forthcoming. Instead, the clerk indicated she would inform engineering. Despite our jet lag we couldn't wait to checkout and get back on the road. But beforehand, we went to the onsite restaurant for breakfast. The breakfast buffet was ample but the floors was so uneven I nearly tripped and fell. I watched as two other customers nearly did the same. My husband caught the toe of his shoe on the raised surface. It is a miracle there have not been any lawsuits for injury. Other than convenience to a major highway, there is nothing to recommend this hotel.
