The hotel has 124 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 4 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock.     Very dirty. Sheets had black smudges, comforter, black smudges… shower has crack & hole in the wall & pink mold everywhere. Cloth shower curtain clearly has never been washed. No toilet paper, had to go request some… no, just no.

    This hotel is a total disaster. I checked in online and when I opened the door the room had not been cleaned, beds made up, and the bath was just filthy. I went to the front desk and the rudest front desk personnel told me that checkin time was 3pm. I notified her that I was coming to the room I had for this am (missed my connection to memphis) and would like to see a manager. The manager said he would not charge me yet I received a charge for the room..The hotel has been sold, and new management is clueless. Plenty of places to stay in Memphis other than this dirty decrepit hotel .

    Absolutely horrific customer service. I was unfortunately escaping a domestic violence situation and looking for a place to stay and was met with a horrible attitude. I was even told “find somewhere else” and when I mentioned I would be leaving a review I was told “I did nothing wrong lady”. Hopefully management will take my complaint seriously but if not, I will continue pushing it up the chain.

    The staff at Hampton are always and unfailingly polite, pleasant, and delightful. The beds are comfortable, and they have some of the best pillows in the business. Sadly, that's all the good I can say of this location. It BADLY needs to be updated. We stayed twice, on the outgoing and return legs of a trip. If we hadn't prebooked, we'd not have stayed here the second night. Besides being just tired and worn, there are damages in the rooms that render them less functional. Hanging pegs falling out of the wall, badly mended cracks around the faucet in the tub, phones that wouldn't convince as a stage prop because of all the missing buttons. A QR code to tip housekeeping that's not actually working.

    When a person travels weekly one comes to expect basic courtesies such as Thank you, Good Morning, How was Everything? Definitely not here, at least for the morning staff to be very clear. Evening check in was very pleasant, check out, well, let’s just say that Barn Animals are more friendly, loving and warm than the morning front staff person with her incredibly terrible attitude was!!!The Hotel Itself……More like a Motel 6 but with a higher price tag!1) There is a train crossing less than a block away - the train horn will keep you up at all hours of the night.2) Fitness Center is closed3) Room is worn, old, and dirty4) Basic amenities missing from room5) Very Uncomfortable Bed!This hotel frankly should be rebranded to better represent the substandard product. If service was at least better, it would have rated one point higher!
