  Great little hotel! This place felt safe, clean and it was very quiet. The owners are very communicative and accommodating! five ⭐️ stars!

  At 1.35am we got back to Casa Sofi (not drunk ir under alcohol effect). Tried to unlock the front door - the red light came up instead of the usual orange blinking and we could not enter. Before that we entered a couple of time in the building in the afternoon if April2 and the door and lock worked. We what up, called them and no one answered. We called Booking and they tried too. No one answered. Booking suggested to call 911 and report it. It was 3am and we decided to go in another hotel to sleep a couple of hours (so we spent extra money). This morning we had to go through the insulting conversation with casa sofi telling us we were unable to enter and use their front door which was perfectly working. The place is very nice, the location great. No service if something happens. So if you remain locked out in the night because the door is not working, no one will help you. Be ready to call 911 and report it. I was stupid to go and pay for another hotel room. If it happens again I will call 912. And for sure I will not come back here. It is a pity but this morning chat arrogance was not what I expected. I often come to Miami and I will go back to the places we are used still in Miami Beach but where at any time there is someone available to answer a phone at least. After reviewing our camera footage and checking the system history of the lock, we found that everything was functioning properly during that time. It seems there may have been some misunderstanding regarding how the lock system works, as the orange light you mentioned can sometimes appear differently depending on the lighting conditions, but the system was indeed operational. When you returned in the morning, the door was working as expected, which aligns with our internal checks.We’re truly sorry that this situation caused you so much inconvenience and that you felt unsupported.   Good Location, but Hotel is Not Recommended

  Casa Sofi is located in between the Miami Marina and the beach, so it's perfect for walking either direction. They have a water-bottle filling station that's a nice touch and convenient. The not-so-good aspects: We received no advance instructions indicating there's a contactless check-in, which was easy once we realized what to do, but there's no one onsite to talk to about noisy neighbors, extra towels, restaurant recommendations, etc; We texted "Customer Service" several times with basic questions/requests, but received absolutely no response; There's a lot of noise from both the street and other guests, but since there's not staff onsite, noisy guests can run amok; The rooms are nice, but small and the design is impractical for travelers (for example, there's no place to open/set a suitcase except the floor or bed); There's no TV or cable, you have to use your own Amazon/Netflix account; There was no water pressure in the shower making it difficult to rinse the shampoo out of your hair; and The bed has really stiff, uncomfortable sheets. Overall, we were extremely disappointed. We expected more since the rooms are expensive. We won't stay at this hotel again.   Great location, pleasant stay!

  We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything is automated and luckily we didn’t have any problems at all accessing the main door or our room. When you enter they have a very strong but pleasant air freshener, it reminded me of a spa which along with the A/C was super refreshing. I would definitely recommend again. The only reason I’ve knocked off a star was that there were some stains on the towels, decorative pillows and rug. Unfortunately I’m a little bit of a clean freak!
