    Stayed one night before a flight. This is definitely a high use hotel due to airport location. To/from airport shuttle offered. Shuttle to Miami cruise port offered for a cost. Building is older and needs some upkeep however appears to be clean. Staff are friendly. Convenience store next door (24hrs) and some restaurants within walking distance. Specific to our room: water took FOREVER to get warm, not even hot. TV did not work; kept getting input errors. Asked three times for maintenance to fix however concerns were not addressed. Air is damp, overly deodorized. Beds are not the most comfortable but pillows are. Pay for parking, small exercise area, car rental onsite and continental breakfast. Shampoo/conditioner are multi use and wall mounted. Booked this room directly and paid in advance. When checking in was told there was a $3 hotel fee that needed to be paid- did not ask why, just paid it. If you need someplace close to airport with shuttle services this will suffice however there are better options within the area. Tip: if needing cruise shuttle try reserving in advance as the 10am fills up fast.     So...full disclosure...this review is based on the fact that I had (apparently) "booked" through a third party and, since it had been a while ago, had forgotten and booked at a different hotel. Since I did not show up, and had not cancelled the reservation, I was charged for the room. Seeing the charge Clarion said to call the hotel directly so I called to inquire and the person I spoke with (who was very kind) told me there was nothing I could do. It is on me but that is just smacks of bad business. I cannot recommend such a business to anyone.     This hotel needs to be updated & remodeled. The furnishings are way too old & should be tossed out. The awful black & brown carpet in the bedrooms should be torn out & thrown away. The air-conditioning was very loud; the bath/shower needs to be remodeled. There is no free continental breakfast, even though the website refers to a free continental breakfast. It is better to walk down to McDonald's or I Hop for your breakfast. The hotel does have friendly staff & the shuttle service to the cruise port was good, cost about $25.00 for 2 people; free shuttle to airport. The bath towels were nice & thick, which considering the condition of the hotel was a surprise. There is a nice park & public golf course in walking distance of the hotel & we were told that the neighborhood was safe. There is a little cafe at the golf course, which was a pleasant place to sit & have a drink in the afternoon.     This place does not look like photos shown. I thought I could put up with only 1 night anywhere, but now I've learned that I will pay move for a better hotel on my next trip. The rooms are old, not clean and depressing. VERY SMALL bathroom, hardly any room for 1 small bag and 1 medium suitcase. Breakfast was just OK, but not much of a selection. Not much eating room in their "breakfast room". Service was ok but would not recommend it to friends, family and business colleges.
