  DISCLAIMER: this is my experience. ROACHES.I put the AC to 63 to try to get it cold and it stayed at 70s. I had roaches and I'm under the assumption there was mold (I am not an expert in mold or anything in this area)(My symptoms tend to only happen when I am near mold). I am allergic to mold. I got incredibly sick with rashes and could barley lift my suit case after staying at the hotel. Before staying there I was able to lift the suit case and run up the 3 flights of stairs with no problem. I found mold on my pillow case (pictured). As soon as I left the hotel my illness was still there but immediately decreased in severity. I was not sick at all. I did not sit to anyone who was sick on the plane. I wash my hands and have hand sanitizer and use it often. I felt as though I smoked 3 packs of cigarettes in one sitting. The price is nice but be warned this is not somewhere I would ever recommend my grandma or even anyone to stay. If you have breathing issues stay away. I couldn't get ahold of the front desk about the issue as well. The walls are incredibly thin as well. I could hear a mouse fart on the other side of the wall.. also the pictures look as though they are AI photos and not even close to what is in that room. (Please view all photos) STAY AWAY!!! I experienced the following symptoms while staying at the hotel. (I since left to go to another hotel due to the symptoms being so severe. They decreased as soon as I got in the car but I am still having a cough and had blown my nose and had black stuff in my snot)Cough Shortness of breath RashSnotty noseWeakness Vomiting due to the coughFatigue Confusion

  I came for a race SWIM MIAMI MILE and felt at home at Coral Reef Suites….

  This place is perfect! I stayed in the townhouse/loft one bedroom. The photos are 100% accurate. Super comfortable, I felt so at home. The staff Amazing English and Spanish not to mention their Adorable poochies super friendly. The private beach was super close and perfect. The bed was most comfortable. Winn-Dixie súper close yet I drove yet a short walk. Perfectly located in the heart of Key Biscayne. The pool area was super clean, the pool is not heated if traveling in cooler months. I felt SAFE and at home.They have bikes for rent $20 daily compared to $20 hourly at local beach..It’s well worth $20I definitely will come back.Just a note bring 2/3 plugs ins I used lavender I plugged one in kitchen, living area and upstairs bedroom.When you walk in ,there is a smell that will knock you down and make you want to leave! I bought 3 lavender plug I s at WinnDixie and it knocked out the smell in 20 minutes. I left the plug ins and noted to staff of the smell and how conveniently the plug ins worked. Not sure what the smell is? Plug ins worked and beyond that the place is amazing.Also be prepared with your personals shampoo conditioner soap/body wash, they provide yet minimal.Bring your own Beach towels!Basic local TV yet you are in Key Biscayne who wants to watch TVThe kitchen was perfect basic what you need available I ate every meal at homeI LOVE THIS PLACE….Hopefully your stay will be as Happy Memorable as mine was

  Awesome base for a spring escape with my daughter

  Simply lovely. Down-to-earth, old school homey apartment, where you are free to cook for yourself if you want to, drink on the veranda, hang out in spacious rooms, and it is literally a five minute walk from a private beach shared with the Ritz Carlton, as well as a five minute drive from the best restaurant in the area, Costa Med. To those who have written less favorable reviews, I would say, if you’ve got such high standards, you should spend $1000-$3000 a night next door at the Ritz. For the rest of us, this is a sheer joy.

  ROACHES AND HOTEL IS UNRESPONSIVE. Me and my family came here for my daughter's 9th birthday, and we checked out about 5 hours after check in. When we arrived to the Coral Reef Suites, I could tell the building looked different than the pictures. The check in desk is almost impossible to find without searching the first floor. The room is kept open by housekeeping and keys are placed in the room before you arrive. We killed a roach within 5 minutes of walking into the room, which i didnt realize was a roach at the time. We were impressed with the size of the room for the price, but weren't the happiest with the cleanliness. My bottom of my feet were black within an hour of walking around without shoes inside the room. We went to the beach, came back to a baby and mom roach on the counter next to the microwave. When we went to tell the front desk that we were going to check out, no one was in the room/lobby and the door was locked. It was 7pm and the front desk person was supposed to be on site until 10pm. There was a sign on the door that gave an emergency number, which no one answered, but I got a text! (ATTACHED) Had to spend an extra $70 on Ubers to get to South Beach, which is where we ended up staying for 3 nights. Expedia has not been able to get ahold of the hotel and neither have I, which means Im out of approximately $800 worth of a hotel I didnt stay at. Plus Ubers and groceries (that weren't able to be brought to the new hotel).Do not recommend, at all.
