    Be more flexible with the checkout time for guests arriving on late flights. In my case, I arrived at 2:00 AM, so I got very little rest—yet I still paid the equivalent of a full day's stay.     My party and I were unfortunately stranded in Miami due to the snowstorm. We stayed at Extended Stay America Premier Suites- Miami - Airport - Miami Springs. We paid the night and a $100 deposit. We wanted to reserve for the next day. (We paid day by day in case we found a sooner flight) Camila told us to call before 11am the next day. We called that same night at 10pm. My sister and I go downstairs the next morning and the rate was $110. We were told that by phone and confirmed the price in that moment. Everything was fine, the lady did not give us a receipt but we thought it was okay. I let her know of a lot of things not working in the room and she said that it was normal. We leave our room at 1:49 pm to take an uber and do some shopping. When we come back at 7pm we were locked out of our room. We head to the desk and the lady told us we did not pay so we were locked out. We tell her we did pay, I checked my account but it actually didn’t show in my transactions so it really didn’t go through. I had no problem paying in that instance but she wanted to charge us $180 because it was a walk in. I told her I was not paying that because we reserved the night before and we paid that morning that price. After going back and forth she calls Camila Acosta the manager. She claims that after the transaction didn’t go through, someone was sent to our room and to call us. Nobody called me and I asked her at what time did someone knock on our door: she said 1pm and I told her we took an uber at 1:49pm so that was impossible. I told her she could call her coworker from this morning because she charged us $110. And she called the lady but she claimed she didn’t remember us. So Camila said she could take a look at the cameras to confirm the amount we paid, but out of nowhere she said she can’t access the cameras, that she would have to call the cops to access them. I told her I was fine by that. The cops arrive and check the cameras and see that I did pay but the angle doesn’t show the screen. They said that they spoke to Camila and she could bring the price down to $130 but not $110. I told the cops that the problem wasn’t the price, it was the moral behind it. Why would 2 different employees tell me the same price and then lie that someone tried to contact me and now the police gets called when Camila stated she could access the cameras. *Which I have proof of my conversation with her before and after the cops were called.* The cops were very kind but said we either pay the rate they’re telling us or to take our things and leave. We decided to pay the $130 and find a hotel for the next day, which we did! I have proof of how raggedy and terrible the room was. Our bathroom door wouldn’t close, it literally fell on me. The front door handle was completely loose. Outlets weren’t working. Of course we were charged the $100 deposit but they claimed it was because we had a “late check-in” which makes absolutely no sense. Why not charge this in the same moment. Anyways we left reviews on Google and they are magically hidden. We contacted corporate, the person on the phone said that the manager of all hotels would contact me in 48 hours. I had to call them because I received no phone call. And my case was closed by a supervisor because they didn’t want to do business with me. Which is so funny since we would never do business with this hotel again. From this disgusting hotel that we stayed at because it was last resort, to their unprofessional corporate office, this all sounds like a joke but it’s not. I’m taking matters into my own hands and suing, and taking this to Tik Tok since they want to play in my face. I don’t know if they scammed us because we’re all young. I wish we wouldn’t stayed in the airport that night….
