    Too tired to go out for dinner, we did takeout from the on-site restaurant at the Four Points by Sheraton Coral Gables. It was better than expected. Not sure if this restaurant is an independent restaurant or part of the Sheraton.We ordered a Caesar salad (around $12) and a Cuban sandwich (around $16). The large Caesar was nicely dressed with shaved parmesan cheese. The Cuban sandwich could have been more stuffed but it was served hot with fresh roast pork as well as ham, melted cheese and pickle slices. It came with a side of fries that were too salty.The next morning, we did the AYCE breakfast buffet ($18) that came with a choice of made-to-order omelets, fried eggs or breakfast sandwich. We enjoyed the freshly prepared omelet and breakfast sandwich. We were disappointed with the buffet's generic offerings - many of the hot food selections appeared to be heat-and-serve premade food - scrambled eggs, greasy mushy breakfast potatoes, barely warm French toast sticks, bacon and sausage. The fruit salads were a watery mess of overripe and sour fruit. Service by the hard working hostess was good.Overall, we enjoy the Sheraton Four Corners for its clean and well-maintained rooms. The issues mentioned in our earlier reviews still stand (missing front desk staff at late hours, extremely challenging and tight parking garage, Bird Road noise) but sometimes one needs to overlook the hotel's shortcomings in face of the now very pricey rates of the new boutique hotels popping up in Coral Gables.

    Started out a little rocky at an 8am check in. Got better with time. We had a 5 day stay. The location was perfect! The beds were so comfortable, nice bedding...slept like a rock! Great breakfast with good coffee. Our server Andrea Palencia was fabulous! She immediately greeted us, explained the breakfast and was the only one to thank me for being a titanium bonvoy member. She is an asset to Marriott! Will be back...h

    This hotel is a really nice new affordable option in Coral Gables. I don't know why there are so many negative reviews on tripadvisor. It is on a very busy street and you do have to be patient getting in and out of the parking garage. Stayed 2 nights here and was really happy with our stay. The room was small-ish but it was tastefully decorated, bed was comfortable, big TV, nice bathroom. No complaints at all. I had read previous reviews about not being able to adjust the AC in the room but I had no problem with that. Other reviews mention the pool is too cold and I would agree with that. It was icy cold! The bar on the 2nd floor is really nice and open til 10pm. It's so nice to have that option on site to get a glass of wine. Fitness center has both free weights and cardio equipment, is airy with a lot of natural light overlooking the pool area. Parking is an onsite parking garage, $20/night which is reasonable compared to other nearby hotels parking rates. Definitely recommend this hotel if staying in Coral Gables.

    Front Desk Staff Missing During the Evening

    During a recent stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Coral Gables, we had a serious problem with our room at 11 p.m. After numerous unsuccessful calls to the front desk using the hotel phone in the room and our cell phone, we went downstairs to the front desk. There was no one at the front desk.We went to the second floor restaurant and found the front desk person gabbing with another person. When we requested a new room, the front desk person claimed that the hotel was fully booked. She also said she could not contact the manager.The hotel is in a commercial and residential section on Bird Road. We no longer feel comfortable or safe at the hotel that appears to not have 24/7 front desk coverage.
