Location

The hotel is conveniently located just a short distance from some good golf courses as well as three major shopping centres. The city centre is around 20 minutes’ drive away, and the Port of Miami and the American Airlines Arena are around 20 minutes’ drive from the hotel.

Facility

The 127 non-smoking rooms, including 72 single rooms and 50 double rooms, have a pleasant, inviting atmosphere. 5 villas/houses offer even more space and comfort. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities.     Nice and clean room

    I stayed at the HAMPTON INN MIAMI-AIRPORT WEST after arriving at MIA airport. It is located conveniently about 15 minutes drive from the airport. The room was clean and equipped with everything needed. A refrigerator, coffee maker a d microwave comes always in handy.I asked for a spacious room and got an accessible room.The breakfast was nice, especially the fresh waffles.

    Great experience overall. Just was frustrated they told us the shuttle to the cruise port was at 10am despite receipt we were given said 10:30. We asked for clarification and they said yes it would be leaving at 10. It did not leave until 10:30. Will say El Tropico restaurant nearby by was some of the most amazing food I’ve ever had!

    Fix your hotel AND attitude!

    This was the second time within a couple weeks that I stayed at this location. Each time, the Hampton employee at the front desk did not greet me, did not say “welcome” and was very apathetic. I could not sleep well as there was a noise every 90 seconds like water in pipes or pressure of water released within the walls/in bathroom. This noise was heard in the first stay in room 118 and Hilton was notified. Unfortunately, I was booked in the next room, 120, on the second stay and the noise was still present. The door to my room was unable to be opened, was “green” with the key but seemed jammed, and when I told the front desk, was told to pull up on handle (eventually worked after several difficult tries!) If the hotel was aware of the problem, why was it not fixed?There is a definite issue with maintenance and attitude at this hotel!

    Needs to lose its license of the “Hampton Inn” name

    This Hampton Inn has but two good points. The day front desk clerk, who was not wearing a name badge (NO staff member did) was quite friendly and informative. The facilities man left his shop door open a couple times, it showed the hallmarks of a jack of all trades craftsman… neat and clean, with supplies and tools properly stored. This hotel goes against every Hampton I’ve ever stayed in. Breakfast ends at 9AM. INDEED, the housekeeper assigned to support the cook is tearing breakfast down at 10 minutes before the hour. Additionally, the serving room and the dining area is FILTHY. There’s not enough space to either support guests getting breakfast or for guests to sit down and eat. If I were the head of the Miami Dade Health Department, I’d target this hotel for daily inspections. Since when did Hilton Hotels authorize their licensees to use flat springs on their beds?Finally, beware of the showers!
