    A tourist trap with no respect for guests.

    We were very poorly received by the person at the front desk (13/05/2026, 22:00). We had booked and paid in advance for a family room for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) with a double bed and a sofa bed. When we arrived, the beds had not been made up, and the staff refused to make them. The receptionist was extremely unpleasant throughout the entire interaction.Avoid this place if you don’t want to have the last day of your holiday ruined. After 15 days in Florida from north to south travelling in hotels for vacation, it was the only one that surprised us very negatively. The other hotels (of the same range of price vs services) were highly professional in customer service and tourism.     Booked this hotel specifically because they offer shuttle service to both the airport and cruise ship terminal. Neither worked out very well and staff was borderline abusive.No signage about pickup areas at the giant Miami airport. Waited at a shuttle area near Gate 14 for over 35 minutes. Called the hotel and their response: "They get there when they get there". Said every hour on the hour, but that proved to be false.The trick? The shuttle they use is NOT placarded correctly. There are seven Holiday Inns/Holiday Inn Expresses at the Miami Airport. This one is called "Airport East". They shuttle is not so marked. See photo. Very misleading. They then said they were "too busy" to honor our cruise ship shuttle service plan. Same abusive attitude from front desk staff. I asked to speak to the General Manager, Alex Ramos. They gave me his business card.The email address on his business card is bogus. It goes no where, the email bounces back "User Not Here".Great system you've got here. . .     No rollaway beds available but let us booked room for 5 adults

    This hotel let us booked in advance for 5 adults in a room with 2 queen beds but upon check was told that no rollaway bed is available. If that was the case, why allow 5 people in a booking? Could have booked at another hotel that can accommodate us properly.     Warm check in greeting after 36 hour journey was awesome. Nice common area. Large room. Great bed. Nice TV and channel selection. Clean bath nice shower. Typical HIE breakfast but omelettes were all kinda burnt.

    Terrible Experience Started With The Front Desk

    I experienced an extremely upsetting and unprofessional interaction with a front desk clerk identified as Javier at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Miami Airport East. From the start of the interaction, I felt that I was being treated differently than other guests in a way that was dismissive, hostile, and prejudicial.Javier spoke to me in a condescending tone, showed visible impatience, and made me feel unwelcome while assisting other guests with courtesy and professionalism. I was interrupted while speaking and was not given clear explanations or respectful communication regarding hotel policies.The experience was humiliating and emotionally distressing. I felt singled out and unfairly judged based on appearance or perceived background. No guest should be made to feel disrespected or targeted while seeking basic hospitality services.This experience reflected a serious lack of professionalism and respect and should be investigated so that future guests are not subjected to similar treatment.
