  Nice Miami vibe hotel

  Huge apartments sort of a 1980s vibe! Loved the roof deck, open till 11pm and a nice seating area in the front courtyard and the long, very Miami Beach palm lined walkway to the hotel entrance. Beautiful retro building. No pool but can use the roof pool at the Catalina on 17th st or the Riviera on 20th st both really nice. Also 5 to 6pm happy hour at Maximes by the Catalina for margaritas when show room card. Coffee in the mornings on second floor if you don't sleep too late! Little reading nooks by the elevator with a selection of books and chairs made out of old airplane parts. Lobby desk also plane parts riveted together. Tho they say no luggage hold they did hold my luggage till my flight. A bit of artwork in the rooms would make them feel more homey but a very nice place.   Can't even get these folks to send me a receipt for my stay. I've emailed and called several times, it never came via email.   Beautiful Rooms!

  I traveled with my young child. The room was exceptional! No complaints about the room itself. However, the elevator was broken. Our flight arrived before checkout and we both had to use the restroom. The restroom is on the 4th floor! So we had to hike the stairs in smelly stairwells to get to the restroom. Our room was on the 3rd floor because they put older ppl on the lower floors and younger ppl on the higher floors bc of the broken elevator. No one in general wants to climb flights of stairs through smelly stairwells with heavy luggage so I wasn't happy about that. Then the hotel is a good distance from main areas you may want to go to see we had to rent bikes for the entire day to get around our entire stay. Pleases be in shape bc, imagine going far walks or even bike riding around south beach and then having to hike stairs when you just want to return to your room and relax. The entire staff was exceptional, no complaints there either. So yeah I wasn't feeling the location, broken elevator and smelly stairwells.
