    This place calling itself a 4-star hotel is honestly a joke — it’s barely a 2-star motel at best. Everything is outdated, dirty, and completely different from what’s advertised online. The rooms felt neglected, the furniture looked ancient, and cleanliness was clearly not a priority.I genuinely cannot believe this hotel has a 4.2 rating. Don’t fall for the positive reviews because the reality is extremely disappointing.     Very disappointing stay

    Very disappointing stay at Riviera Hotel South Beach. The room was not clean—dusty surfaces and a general feeling of neglect. Being on the first floor felt like being right out on the street, with constant noise from outside, especially at night, making it very hard to sleep.     Hotel is rated 4 star, it is not. We had a group staying there for a conference down the street, and the pics below are 3 different rooms. Mold, stench and multiple other issues as you can see in the pictures attached. Walls and floors are thin and you can hear noise from other guests in their rooms. It's labeled as a hotel, I would say motel at best.     Located in walking distance to south beach, the Miami Botanical gardens and many wonderful restaurants. Rooms are great.     Scammed hundreds for a “room deposit” fee

    FOR THE RIVIERA HOTEL – SOUTH BEACH, MIAMI:At check-in for a fully prepaid room, I was asked to provide a card for a deposit, which staff said would be refunded in full after checkout. A week after leaving the room in good condition, I reviewed my charges and saw a $147 fee for a “resort fee” (not disclosed at booking) and for allegedly taking a bottle of hotel vodka; which was never present in the room.I called on April 19 at 3:47 PM EST to resolve the issue. While explaining the situation, whoever was managing the front desk at this time and day, the staff member cut me off and transferred me to a general help line. When I called back, the same woman answered and immediately hung up.Very disappointing experience.
