    This is my hotel when I go to Doral area. I was welcomed and acknowledged as a Diamond Elite with FELIX with a big smile. He gave us a nice suite. The lobby is very clean.     Staybridge Suites, Doral, Florida (IHG property) April 23-25, 2026This is our second stay at this property over the past five years, and it fell far short of our first experience. We are a family celebrating more than three decades of marriage, and what should have been a joyful start to the occasion was repeatedly undermined by staff failures at this property.The most serious incident involved my daughter, who flew in from the United Kingdom and arrived at the hotel in the evening while other members of our party were out. She approached the front desk, provided our name and room number, and was told that no guests by our name were registered at the hotel. This was false. Her mother had checked into that same room that very morning. I had also communicated through the booking platform in advance that our party of five would be arriving across two days, three on the first day, two more on the second. None of this information was made available to or acted upon by front desk staff.Unable to reach me, my daughter, a solo female traveler arriving from the UK, unfamiliar with the area, arriving in the evening, came within moments of leaving, believing she had the wrong hotel. It was only a fortunate gap in my schedule that allowed me to see her missed call and send her a copy of the reservation in time. Had she left, and had she not had reliable mobile connectivity, the consequences could have been far more serious. This failure alone warrants serious attention from IHG and hotel management.On the same stay, I had arranged for two packages containing custom-designed shirts for our family celebration to be shipped ahead of our arrival. Tracking confirmed Package 1 was signed for by hotel reception on April 10, and Package 2 on April 13. When my family arrived, the hotel repeatedly denied having either package despite the delivery confirmations in hand. I contacted IHG corporate headquarters, they messaged hotel management, and the first package appeared the next morning. The second was denied again, to my family, then to me in person upon my own arrival, until a second call to corporate produced it within three minutes. Both packages were on property the entire time.Additionally, despite advance notice that our party would grow from three to five guests on day two, the room was not prepared accordingly. Only after escalating to both IHG corporate headquarters and the front desk directly were adequate supplies delivered — and only within the final hours of our stay.Although all issues were ultimately resolved, I am writing this because the pattern across this stay - a guest nearly turned away due to missing reservation data, packages denied until corporate intervened twice, and basic room preparation overlooked despite advance notice, points to something more than isolated mistakes. Future guests, especially those coordinating multi-person arrivals or shipping items ahead of time, deserve to know what we experienced.Something has changed at this property since our last visit five years ago. And it shows…One of the chains in this group had this slogan, “The best surprise is no surprise! In our short stay, we had many, none of which were pleasant.     Horrible beds super squicky, changed room the same things, no ice anywhere, ice machines not connected to water in refrigerator, no ice machines in entire hotel, no ice trays. Tub retained water until I fixed it. This place is not worth your money.     Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Nice room. We were there for 2 nights and had 2 different rooms both nice. We were very pleased with out stay. Nice outdoor area and nice rooms.

    This is my hotel every time we need hotel at Doral.The front desk supervisor Fotis is always there to assist the guests. The breakfast is always a plus with many choices. Lobby and room are always clean. Sergio is another front desk that has excellent customer service. Once again big shout out to FOTIS.
