  We stayed here as a home base to visit the National Parks. It’s close to Everglades NP and Biscayne Bay NP. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They always greeted us when we walked in. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. This hotel does not charge for parking (one of the reasons I chose it). The hot breakfast included wrapped breakfast sandwich, make your own waffles, bacon, bagels, fruit, yogurt and assorted drinks. There are many shops and restaurants close by.

  One of our rooms was "upgraded" but it was not an upgrade for what we needed

  This is a newer property and the rooms were pretty nice, although you could see a little wear and tear starting in the bathroom. What I didn't appreciate-- we showed up and were told that one of our rooms had been "upgraded" to a 1 bedroom suite (we had reserved a room with 2 queen beds). Well, the room was for our teens and so now one of them had to sleep on the sofa bed which is woefully inadequate for anyone weighing over 50 pounds. Seriously, this is a sofa bed fit only for young kids. If we had not had a bait and switch, I would probably have given the stay 5 stars.   Easy and pleasant transit hotel:

  This is a great transit hotel. Hotels in Key Largo were too expensive, and this one fit the bill perfectly. Check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free. The room was quiet, spacious, and included a mini kitchen, which was very convenient. The shower had excellent water pressure, and everything was clean and comfortable.Breakfast was included—continental style. While I would have liked to see some fresh fruit options, it was still a helpful way to start the day. Parking was free, and Wi-Fi worked well throughout our stay.One small downside: I asked the front desk for body moisturizer, and unfortunately, they didn’t have any available. On a positive note, the hotel even has a designated area for barbecuing, which is a nice touch. Across the street they have supermarket, fast food restaurants and shops.Overall, it was an easy, pleasant stay and a great value for a short stopover.   Would Stay Again

  The front desk staff (except one member) was wonderful and so helpful. Shout out to Laura.This hotel had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and the ability to put something together in the kitchen area without having to go out was a huge plus.The only snafu was that my credit card was charged for incidentals after I had checked out. I didn't purchase anything at the hotel. I realize this will be backed out, but shouldn't have happened.Despite this, we'd definitely stay here again if we were in the area, and it still deserves five stars.
