    Horrible condition with zero communication

    rating15 Apr 2026

Booked a room for three people and three beds. There was one bed and a mat to throw on the floor. Very dirty and honestly after spending over an hour trying to reach someone we left and found a different place. Would NEVER stay here and advise you not to

    Great Location.

    rating31 Aug 2025

Location is amazing, no more than 5-10 walking minutes from main common interest places, including a public beach entrance just in from of the hotel.Rooms, 100% clean, nice decoration, needed supplies available. The common kitchen is really organized. Swimming pool size is good and maintenance is visible. We recommend 100% this hotel. In addition, the man in the front desk, is super friendly and loves to talk.

    room with cockroaches

    rating25 Jun 2025

We arrived at the hotel late in the evening after a long journey. My daughter, who is 3 years old, was tired and wanted to sleep. The moment we stepped into the lobby, we realized we wouldn’t be staying at this hotel. I have never seen carpets so filthy in my life…The room itself was as dark as a basement, and the light was constantly flickering. There was trash inside, and even the bedding had an unpleasant smell. But the worst part was seeing cockroaches on the floor…We immediately contacted the hotel staff and reported the issues. We also made it clear that we would not be checking in because we were not willing to share the room with cockroaches!Instead of enjoying our vacation, we were forced to look for another hotel late at night and go through the check-in process all over again. The hotel staff were so shameless and indifferent to their guests that they refused to issue a refund, even though we didn’t stay a single night.I strongly urge you — if you don’t want to ruin your vacation or business trip for yourself or your family, do not stay at this awful hotel. It is the worst I’ve ever seen. The photos on Booking don’t even come close — not even 50% — to what you’ll actually find when you walk into the room.

    Absolutely horrible

    rating23 Feb 2025

My stay at this hotel was deeply disappointing and completely derailed my trip. From the moment I arrived, the flickering, partially lit sign set the tone for what was to come. The building looks run-down from the outside, and the interior is no better—worn-out and cheaply maintained. The rooms are dimly lit, but the real issue is the lack of ventilation. The windows are sealed shut, there are no fans, and the bathroom has no airflow. Within a day, the room started to develop an unpleasant odor. Given the overwhelming number of positive reviews, I find it hard to believe they are genuine.

Disappointing Stay at the Tropics Hotel – Would Not Recommend

    rating23 Feb 2025

I recently stayed at the Tropics Hotel in Miami Beach, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The hotel is severely outdated and in desperate need of renovations. First, the rooms are dark, with no way to open the windows or get proper ventilation. The photos on the hotel’s website are misleading—they make the place look much nicer than it actually is. In reality, the hotel is rundown, with paper-thin walls that let in every bit of noise from neighboring rooms and hallways. The pool, which looked inviting in the pictures, was dirty and unappealing. I never saw anyone swimming, likely because it didn’t seem well-maintained. The lobby also had a strange, unpleasant smell, adding to the overall discomfort of the stay. If you’re looking for a comfortable, relaxing stay in Miami Beach, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. The Tropics Hotel simply doesn’t deliver on what it promises.
