    Great Stay, But the Concierge Sales Pitch Continues to Hurt the Check-In Experience

    We recently stayed at Wyndham Westwinds and really enjoyed many aspects of the property. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The large balcony was a huge plus, offering a beautiful ocean view that we enjoyed every day. The sofa was also very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day at the beach.One of our favorite things about this location is that it feels less crowded than many other areas along the Grand Strand. The beach wasn’t overly packed, which made for a much more relaxing vacation experience.The actual check-in process was quick and easy until we were directed to the concierge desk to receive our wristbands. Unfortunately, this part of the experience continues to be frustrating. Most owners and guests already know this stop is primarily an opportunity to be pressured into attending a sales presentation. It takes away from what should be a welcoming arrival experience.I wish Wyndham would allow guests to simply check in and enjoy their vacation. It would be refreshing to have concierge staff focused on helping guests with local recommendations, property information, and vacation needs rather than sales presentations.One small improvement would be the addition of smart TVs in the rooms. It’s certainly not a deal-breaker, but we’ve stayed at other resorts that offered them, and it was a nice convenience for streaming shows and movies in the evenings.Overall, we had a great stay and would return because of the comfortable accommodations, excellent ocean views, and quieter atmosphere. However, eliminating the sales pitch portion of check-in and adding a few modern touches like smart TVs would make the experience even better.

    Comfortable, roomy, and convenient stay, right on a clean, spacious beach. Our unit had 2 bedrooms, one with an attached full bath, the other just next to a second one. Full kitchen with utensils, dining area for 6, plus a stacked washer-dryer. Three flat screen TVs, with a comfortable sofa and loveseat. The primary bedroom accesses the full-width balcony, as does the living room area.Limited covered parking is on 2 lower levels, with additional parking steps away across the street.The check-in desk on level 3 features a small sundries and snacks shop, plus a lounge space where we enjoyed complimentary pancakes and good coffee one morning. The indoor pool has swim-out access, and the patio has a kiddie pool, hot tub, hammock, ping pong, and corn hole activities, as well as a gas fire pit.Three paths cross the dunes to the public beach, where umbrella and beach chairs may be reserved for a fee. Just a few blocks from the busy main drag with countless food, shopping, and activities. Everyone we encountered was friendly, and we lucked out to have perfect weather.

    We have stayed here three years in a row. Always a good stay. Could clean floors better. Washer and dryer in unit is always a plus. Ample kitchen space. Nice balcony

    Stayed 2 nights for a wedding; the value/ Wyndham cc points ratio was one of the best found in the US. Enjoyed the view and the clean and modern 1 bd suite layout. We didn’t have time to enjoy any amenities. Timeshare pitch - Check-in seems to be a two part process, just be ready when you get your room key bracelets for lots of small talk/timeshare info. We and the couple in front of us found it irritating. Arriving guests are tired, hungry, etc. and want to settle-in. = 4-star review.

    Very clean and comfortable resort. Great location. New furniture and curtains. We enjoyed the beach and walking the neighborhood
