  I feel like we were in a 1960s days inn. The lamps were rusting, lamps shades had mold growing on them, corrosion and peeling paint on doors and hinges, 2/4 outlets did not work, room door had zero seals so light and noise comes in, moth holes in the drapes which didn’t close far enough to block light. Also we had to sweep our room floor as it had beach sand everywhere. If I had a time share here I’d be very angry if this is what I was paying for. We couldn’t switch rooms as they were full but from what the others in our group said it wouldnt have mattered. Will definitely not be coming here or any other westgate property.

  Our room was clean, but the water pressure in the shower would drop to nothing and then come right back numerous times while showering. Bathroom fan did not work. Shower surround was chipped/cracked. Maid staff was very loud in the hallway every day, yelling and laughing. No smoking policy not inforced and the smell of pot was almost always present. Bathroom toilet is VERY low to the ground, and no assist bars in the tub/shower. Pools and lazy river very murky and in need of a good cleaning and repair. Spoke with several time share owners while there and they were complaining also about the disrepair. Mens bathroom door at pool does not securely close. Music by the pool is all hip hop/ r&b and the same track plays all day every day. Several people complained about this and no change was made. On a positive note the staff was friendly. I will not be returning to this property, and would suggest people look elsewhere for their visit to Myrtle Beach. I do not recommend this property.

  No room service for towels, trash and pool towels. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Low toilet. Very noisy could hear people in the next rooms. Not a private balcony. Had at large gap on both sides of the barrier. Not enough handicap parking. Not handicap friendly. The room smelt of mold. Power went out on one side of the room. Had to call. A man was throwing a dog into the pool many times. Dog tried running from him. It was cruel.

  The room that we had was a double queen bed and it was a larger room than I had expected. The room was clean and the bedding was ample for our stay. The bathroom was somewhat small, definitely only one person at a time getting ready. The tv was good size and I was happy to have an ice machine nearby. The check-in was a breeze and the front desk agent was friendly. The lady, Kimmie that gave us our parking pass was very upbeat and friendly and helpful. Unlike a lot of the reviews that I have read, we didn’t get the first sales pitch for the timeshare which is one thing that I was worried about before arriving because we were on vacation and didn’t want to be bombarded with sales. The parking garage was too low for our truck but we were able to find a spot in the front parking lot just fine. There was a lot of trash in the hallways but this was from guests putting their trash out in the hallway and it sat for an entire day. Wouldn’t be a nuisance if it wasn’t food items that were spoiling. We used the smaller pool on the end and played corn hole. The bigger pool was crowded and the lazy river was full of kids that were not in an inflatable ring so it defeated the whole purpose. I understand that there isn’t a lifeguard on duty, but maybe they could send out an employee every once in awhile to make sure that everyone is following the rules so that everyone can enjoy the amenities. On the website, the pools and lazy river looked entirely different than the one that is there.The Family Kingdom amusement park is literally right across the street and there were plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance.Overall, we would stay here again.

  Timeshare Presentation

  We drove about 10 hours for what was suppose to have been a 90 minute timeshare presentation that ended up being over 3 hours. At the end of the presentation the guy was very pushy even after explaining we was not interested. The room had visible scratches on the floor, the smell of mold and mildew and a view of the theme park. We was suppose to have got a 60 + dollar refundable deposit that we paid prior to our trip that we've yet to recieve. Needless to say we cut our 4 day 3 nights trip short and came back home.
